2/22/22

Pulling the rolling pin Michelle gave me from the drawer...
rolling out sourdough and slathering on thick butter
and cinnamon sugar... rolling it up and pinching it off.
Thick slices left to rise again and bake up into mile high cinnamon rolls.
Sweet offerings to plate up and share with hot coffee or
washed down with cold milk.

Dippin a worm on a Sunday afternoon while waving to my love
out on the tractor.  Singing along to my playlist...
dreaming of going to Israel...
--Pondering the morning sermon about love and  how
so much of all that I wish I could do better.

Thumbing through this book from the church 1.00 sale-
finding it's completely fabulous.
Especially the colored egg prints.

Sharing the missing with our ole donkeyboy.
He keeps smelling the brush I was using; -- the scent of his Momma.
Extra carrots, some long conversations - one sided albeit,
 -hugs and nuzzles.
I miss her too olde boy.

Washing  nightly dishes by hand...
and then walking around picking up toys
because we have two playful girls.

Hands in soil
planting with a cat at my feet.
A tray full of tomatoes longing for
warm sunshine.

Finding warmth  right here.

The first daffy blooming her pretty little head off  by the potting shed.

Little pots of  sunshine
 37 cents?
Beautiful leaves and healthy!
Bringing  two home to remove the tags and
leave small surprise joybuzzes for two neighbors.
Driving miss Daisy in the olde 66 Chevy to deliver them
and how she leaned against me the  whole way.

Taking bread from the oven  and hearing his  approval
when he asked what I was doing over the phone.

Digging deeper into the Word with a friend who
wants to do the right thing.  Sharing thoughts and take aways
and realizing the gift in all of that.  Bibles out
concordance out...
reading together.

Our often 3 oclockish coffee breaks
and afternoon texts that say simply:
coffee?
And the joy of having someone to connect with
and sit for just a spell.
 Her iron sharpens iron.

I sign off with a scripture picture using
one of the little pots of primrose.
May their sweet, sunny faces
brighten your day
and lift you up.
.
Therefore encourage one another
and build one another up,
jus as you are doing.
