Roadtrip Chasing Dreams and Random Gratitudes....

Random gratitudes this week:

--It was a last minute thing... 

I didn't think I would get to go but our Veterinarian clinic

had  room at the inn for our dogs.  

-Had my bag packed  just in case and was so happy

everything worked out.  

-One more stop before leaving town:

appointment to get our third booster shots.  

In and out.

Well.. with the fifteen minute or so wait afterwards. 

-Another adventure. 

Chasing dreams.

-Bag of Chex party mix,

a diet coke and Berry Propel... 

 Even Jonathon came along for the ride.   

-Clear roads and good weather. 

-My heated seat that felt amazing

on this rickety left hip for hundreds of miles.  

--Meeting St. Louis for my first time ever.

--More road and towns I've never seen.

 

--Nice and clean hotel. 

-Fluffy white towels and linens... 

--Lots of pillows so comfy.

--Our room heater kept pluggin away even though it sounded like 

 the bearings needed greased. 

--Hot coffee and cinnamon roll ... yes please and thank you.  

The next day: 

---Meeting Chicago for both our first times.     

Snow that sparkled like German glass glitter.

The sunrising ... so beautiful.

--Found our way into the city.

 

--Myguy was able to buy the car he's dreamed of.  

--His smile when he got her loaded on the trailer.

--a hedge of protection.

--Still good roads and weather... just cold.

--Talking, singing, daydreaming  for hours.

--Making a bucket list of things we hope to do; so fun...  

 

--Seeing so  many new things and experiencing firsts together.  

--seeing a  big bald eagle standing on ice in the center of frozen pond. 

He never budged.

 I've thought of  him I bet twenty times

since I've been back ? 

--Coming to our exit .... home sweet home.

--Our old farmhouse and rural life.

--Our town without one stop light.

--This sunset the very next night.

--Trent stopping by after work.

That big bear hug.

--happy bathed dogs... 

--a good rest of the week although... neither of us felt too spiffy.

-- my dear friend found out her tumor shrunk!

-- her beautiful voice and both of us 

praising God together for her news.

--the kind things she told me.

--happy tears and 

celebrating life!!

Today's random gratitudes:

--a big bowl of fed  sourdough starter.

wild n crazy yeast

--sourdough blueberry pantycakes

AND:

--snow!!

--walk in the woods all by myself, snowflakes steadily falling.

--the joy of seeing my favorite places  all fresh and new again!

-eating  snow off a cedar branch. 

((delicious))

--red cardinals all over our feeders.

--homemade stew simmering on the stove.

--bowlfuls later with warm bread.

_Myguy came out to play with me.

-whispering thank you's.

--watching Daisy and Rosie enjoy their very first snowfall.

--Feeding deer corn at snowy sundown.

-- Having Myguy come up from the shop to get me moments ago 

to see the big ole snowflakes falling all over again!

-Standing together watching them float and land on us. 

I sign off this beautiful snowy night with a scripture picture of
