Finding The Sweet

... noticing the little hearts around me
in gravel, tree bark, deer prints, clouds n things

A whole Friday with Myguy allllllll to myself
-Not only that but  Father's day weekend to boot
Sooo much fun.

Petit Jean Car show on a hot summer day

A close place to park with short grass and less chiggers
walking hand in hand....

sharing a funnel cake under a shade tree...

ice-cold lemonade in the heat of day

perusing muscle cars and old trucks from our vintage era ...
and all the memories they seem to bring back...

people watching... no masks- so awesome!

strangers smiles and laughter

Playing around at the lookout
before heading back home

After dark- stock car races
fireworks
Same track Myguy used to race at... so fun

Saturday ...  workday on the place.
Turning around to
this surprise-
blackeyed susies... my favorite wildflower
he loves me he loves me he loves me even still
No matter that they are growing all around the garden right now-
these are wayyyy sweeter!

Father's day spent with both sons.
Looking into those handsome, burly faces... with gratitude
that they are good Dads. ....
Dads who love and believe in
our good Heavenly Father.
Dads who love fiercely,
Dads who work very hard
to provide for their families.
Dads who pray, ...play.... and stay.
Dads who encourage and build up.

For time together...
that dishes can just wait and how sometimes
it's better to let em soak, and go fourwheelin with your family.

For a grandgirl who says she wants to go  with Papa and Grammy...and
How she still crawls up into my lap to ride.

For our big girls who got their shots...

and a girls day... to just be together.

-- for my Mommas old orange garden sprinkler... still working
after all these years.

for fresh eggs from Spring chickens
Can't believe they're big enough already

blooming poppies - seeds from a friend
that blend in so well with my other poppies.

this one is for you
and you
and you

a pullet who matches my fitbit

finding feathers on my path...
like this giant white tipped one... and
not yet knowing who left it.

climbing gates like a kid -

and... nearing the June walking goal
and feeling like I might make it after all.
4.7 more miles

a place to putter...
in this little garden of weedin

May you be finding the sweet in your life as well..
Until we meet again
<*))))><
