Another Adventure

Hey friends,

This past week I went on a little road trip with Myguy to haul these two trailers up into northern Missouri that
a customer ordered.  We took his brand new work truck and I can't remember how far we got up the road when a light came on and told how much def fluid there was and how many miles we could go on that.  He had just put def fluid in the night before.
Kept getting odd warnings about the def fluid.
We made it to our destination and unloaded the trailers.
I thought it was kinda cool how he piggybacked them.  When we finished we headed toward Kansas City to spend the night.  Next day we headed for home and things went downhill.
Something totally wacked over the def fluid ... first it said def quality poor.  We shoulda had plenty for the whole trip.

But  it went into limp mode and started telling us in so many miles it would drop to 65 mph
then to 55... etc.  Myguy called the dealer  and they said to try n get it to them where he bought it in Joplin.  I think we made it there with like 18 miles to spare before it said it would be at five miles per hour.  It was a crazy nerve wracking trip.  Here we were driving a brand new vehicle going soooo slow ... I mean in limp mode it will not go any faster... period.  Everyone was passing us.  Truck is in limp mode... Myguy went in  mad emoji mode.  I didn't blame him at all.. and I was pretty much headed that way too.
We pulled into the dealers and got sent to the waiting room.
They came back to us and said the truck didnt have any codes. ??? what the?
That aint good... so
then they gave us the keys to a brand new half ton Duramax to go eat lunch and run around so they could check it out more.  They ended up draining it... and think? it has a sensor bad in the tank... but you gotta order a whole new tank.  So they cleared everything ... added fresh Def fluid and sent us on our way to head for home.
We kept watchin the dash but it didn't do it any more.
As we got here... I grabbed my phone and snapped a pic of our sign.
Hello Arkansas.
And Myguy muttered ... "Goodbye Misery!!"  (as in Missouri. lol )
He always makes me laugh.  haha

Until we know something.. I don't think I'll feel real good about headin out very far in this truck.
Maybe it was just bad def fluid.  Hopefully we can figure out something for sure coz
this truck has to work and earn it's keep.
Anyways... once again... it's good to be home.

Until we meet again,
<*)))><
