Hi friends!
Well last night when we got home from Fort Smith;
I ran around with the waterhose trying to give everyone a cold drink.
My hose is really long and without realizing it I'd drug it across a plant stand near the garden.
When I came back around; this dark blue, glazed pot had fallen off the stand onto the ground.
It's one of my most precious pots because it's the very last present my Mom ever gave me. That and a garden magazine. I ran to it when I realized it had fallen to the ground. Thankfully it didn't even have a crack. I started kicking myself, that I'd even left it on the plant stand in the first place.
The sweet william wasn't doing well in it anymore so today I dumped that out and cleaned the pot and brought it inside. In my little art porch lives this mother in law's tongue. It too was my Mom's although I've divided it two or three times now. Lately it's not been doing so well ... so it's what I decided to put in my precious pot. I know; I know... it's just a clay pot and a plant ... but...
the memory of that last Christmas together..... makes it extra special.
It makes me smile that this dark indigo blue is now one of my favorite colors.
She couldn't know that ... back then.
I shared yesterday that we stopped at one of my favorite antique stores yesterday.
This is a book I found there.
I love that all through the pages a woman documented her
sightings.
I will too.
And you probably guessed that my new earbobs
would have weighed down these ears that myguy says quit growing when I was about three. ha!
Yes I finally found a vintage chandy!
We have looked and looked for one but they're always too big or too messed up.
This one fits soooo well in my art porch so I think this is where she'll land.
With our bedroom at the top of the honeydo.. this little corner will have to stay as is awhile.
But I can live with that!
Time to start some supper.
Until we meet again.
<*(((><

There is nothing more precious than a loved one's gift and it's more precious than silver or gold. I am glad your pot didn't crack and there's a new plant at home there. What a beautiful chandelier and so fitting for your art room. Blessings and Joy.
