Fun With Words and Scripture Picture

 Hi friends!

I shared with yall the other day that a friend and I have started sharing a word
a day with eachother to dote on.
So far we've had:
luscious,
relish,
audacious,
selah,
mirabilia,
petrichor,
benignity,
and today's is ... lackadaisical.
Lackadaisical...
I'll never forget the first time I ever heard that word.
I was driving my Mom home from Fort Smith... I think it was one of her chemo appointments.
We were chatting and out of her mouth pops that word only she
would pronounce it laxadaisical.
I told her it was a cool word she just made up. (ha! Oh my word.. the fight was on!) lol  No pun intended.  - Yall she let me know she did not make up that word!!!!! She heard her Mom use it all the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!  When I got home I looked it up.  I was just sure she was full of it.
Especially when there was no laxadaisical.
But then there it was... lackadaisical.  By golly she right .. it was a real word afterall.

As she got sicker I kept a little basket of stitcheries with me so I'd have something
to do with all the waiting.  This was one I worked on toward the end and never finished.
The yoyo's were my Grandmother's... (her Mother's) and so were the buttons.  You can see where I was intending to add another flutterfly but just never did.
Anyways I looked for this today since it became our word of the day.
Kind of got the want to again to finish it.
sweet memories... !!

Lackadaisical is such a cool word!!  A real word!
I can't help but see daisies when I read it or say it.
And it's fun trying to use these words in sentences throughout the day.

I haven't shared a scripture picture in awhile so I thought I'd do one
on the WORD of God.
The photo has probably been used for a different one but that's okay.
Until we meet again!

Now that is a word I use quite often...Your mom's way of saying it makes me smile...in fact I like it better than the way it is spelled. Glad you found something that brought back good memories. Looks like a good list of words.

It is good when you discover a word or hear someone using a word that you haven't heard.

Your stitchery must be so precious. Sweetest memories indeed. Well you mustn't be lackadaisical and get it finished!!!!

Thank you for sharing such sweet memories.
