Random gratitudes....
An afternoon to dig through boxes and totes, finding
the sentimental throughout the many years.
clifford our big red golden Daisy dog
a Charles Stanley sermon
setting out this special nativity even though we ran out of snow
saturday evening's sunset
celebrating my childhood friend's birth day
across the miles
wild yeast and
making bread
even though it was a flop
sweet friend who made these bread towels
that I get to use
her life and light teach me to
use what I have
to the hilt
a loaf to break open and share
while imperfect and full of some rebellion
gives me hope that
huge messes can be redeemed
for searching and finding
standing on His promises
looking up and seeing a flock of pelicans right over our pasture
the sweet satisfaction of reaching
towards things worth while
finding a sermon in my messages from someone
listening to it's full length and
affirmations about listing gratitudes in
all their very various forms
sharing our thoughts back n forth with her
and discussing our devotional as well about community
and the difficulty in women friendships
how hard they are ... at least for some of us
hearing her say me too
knowing she truly understood
It's a gift to have someone to share the word with and
ordinary life applications.
good news updates of a relative in the hospital with covid
photo sent to me of our sweet with Santa
she's been sending him lots of letters
<*)))><
until we meet again
