A Few Simple Joys Today

What simple joys do you find as you go throughout your day?
Today, as I hung out the laundry... seeing me an myguy's workshirts
hanging together... made me smile.  I don't know why... it just did.
A simple joy found in a daily task.. that made a moment sweet.

Two coats of paint on these walls and ceiling done too.
Once the trim covers up the hole and cracks and new carpet is in it'll be clean and fresh.
Walking around to see if I missed anything ...  that's when I saw it.
 A paint drip heart.
simple joys.

Washing dishes by hand has always been
a simple joy to me.  I don't want a dishwasher.
I am the dishwasher.
It's my job and joy.

Kneeling here I saw it today.
Ivy that is growing through a crack in the wall and the baby leaf is all  heart.
simple joy

Carrying hay to the ponies today; Fiona runs up behind me.
I stop... when the feeder is full and run my fingers through her
growing winter coat.  I talk to her and smell her mmmm delicious horseyscent and
she becomes what I miss having lost Francois and Addie.
A furbaby to cuddle and talk to ... we had a sweet moment.
simple joys plural

planning and writing out the days... documenting
the ups and downs ... the good the bad...
the beauty, goodness and truths...
simple joys

Thumbing through these tabs and realizing how much
I now look forward to the daily examen.
simple joys

The hopes and dreams kept inside these pages.
the storytelling
simple joys

Smiling at this emblem because while I think it's supposed to be an elephant?...
I  see a donkey.
Now I love it.
simple joy

a fresh inked pen in autumn oak...
and splashing color on a page.
simple joy.

a new song I added to my music today.
Truth be told by Matthew West
The lyrics... and tune
simple joy.

There's a sign on the door, says, "Come as you are" but I doubt it
'Cause if we lived like it was true, every Sunday morning pew would be crowded
But didn't you say the church should look more like a hospital
A safe place for the sick, the sinner and the scarred and the prodigals
Like me
Well truth be told
The truth is rarely told
Oh am I the only one who says
I'm fine, yeah I'm fine oh I'm fine, hey I'm fine but I'm not
I'm broken
(so beautiful)

Until we meet again,
<*)))><

Oh I love your simple joys. There is nothing like laundry drying in the breeze and finding unexpected growing things making themselves noticed in secret places. Thank you for visiting me. The golden flowers are Goldenrod. They grow wild all over the fields where I live. You cm gather them and dry them for Autumn bouquets. Hope you have a blessed weekend. Hugs!

Hi Debbie! Thank you for letting me know about the goldenrod. Here's the thing... here... people call the spring time forsythia goldenrod. Now I know that is not true... it's forsythia and what you shared is the true goldenrod. It's blooming it's beautiful heads off in the fields right now... and I didnt know if I could cut it... so thank you! My luck I'd have went and gathered some and it woulda been like cutting wild sumac! eeeek. Thank you for sharing your knowledge... and blessings to you too! Happy weekend!
