The Weekend Blues

Hello friends!
How's your Saturday goin?
As you can see... it's been  kinda lazy around here today.
Francois has been out like a light half the day.
He's so cute when he lays on his pillow like a little person;
I could just eat him up.  What a sweet ole boy.
I've been working on this collage photo frame and finally finished it.
It's sat on my table for about three weeks and while I like how it turned out;
it was not the easiest  to add photos to.
All the photo frame areas are individual and so have all those little panes of glass
in them.  So with the back cardboard off they tried to fall out.  It was a royal
pain but worth it I think in the end.  It comes with alot of letters so you can change it up
and make it say whatever you want.

One of my plans for this weekend is to play with these new watercolors.
They came so beautifully wrapped ... seriously amazing.

This was a total surprise inside.
Stars!!!

Not too many businesses send a hand written note anymore either.
                    How cool is that?
happysigh.
I can hardly wait to start swatching.

Are any of you feeling blue too?
I guess I'm still in a Fall nesting mood but
I am so gravitating toward blue with it all.
It's been an enjoyable week changing everything... and
I'm feelin so domestic!
The only bummer was it was supposed to get chilly here.
Boy did they miss that one.
I told  Myguy that  I had a wild hair to pack up him and
Francois and just head to the Colorado mountains.
He said, "Let's go!!!!!!!!!!!"
:)
One of these days I'm just gonna pack our long johns and
hold him to it.
Meanwhile... we're still in short sleeves here.

I went shopping this past week and was so happy to see this.
Can you even believe it?
Fall frocks!
I'm serious.
What's not to love?!!!!!!
So if we have to stay in the upper 80's ... might as well jump on this fashion train.
Or ... well; ...maybe a covered wagon?
A couple of these prints are calicos!  haha
Isn't it delightful what comes back in style?
Love it.
As you can see it's still very green here.
It's been so hot and rainy  that we hadn't been out walkin much lately either but
last night Francie and I did take a little stroll.
He's so slow yall.  God bless him.  I mean.. he is .. afterall 91 now.

I did bring home some treasures to press.

This is a little leaf off one of our silver maple trees.
Glorious.  And it gives me hope Fall and cooler weather is surely coming.

Well, I'm gonna close for now and find something
to fill into this pie plate.
I'm thinkin either apple crisp or a pie.
Myguy is takin a nap so I think I'm gonna surprise him with
some punkin bread if I can get it in the oven fast enough.
That'll put some Autumn in the air afterall.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Until we meet again,
<*)))><

It's amazing to think it's still in the 80's. You are wishing it was cooler and I am wishing it was a bit warmer. We're in a temperate climate so at this time of year we are in the 50's and 40's in the early morning. I wouldn't be able to wear a dress. Today there was a strong breeze coming off the shore (skirt alert!!!).

I hope you enjoy playing with the watercolours, you've been working hard so you deserve some playtime. I would love some pumpkin bread :)

Blessings and Joy
