Selah in Sonlight and 50 Things List

Reflecting with a thankful heart.... 

1. For moments like this... the calm and quiet and ordinary yet extraordinary. 
2. To not only know the Lord but time I get to sit at His feet.  
3. For forgiveness when my mind didn't stay the course.  
4. For a husband who is the calm to my crazy and feeds me vanilla ice cream.  
5. For Tony's and Michelle's Hi Mom texts... even though they are so busy trying to get their new house done.  
6. For that little voice who  cheers, "On your mark set go" as we RUN  through the sprinkler til we're  both soaked through to our skivvies.  
7. For rose petal mud tea and licking the cream from our oreos.  
8. For the bullfrog chorus here on dragonfly pond.  
9. For catchin dinks; ...watching that bobber disappear, and his text, "Hey Momma we're gonna come fish."  Time together.  
10. For the rain that makes corn grow taller than this hobbit.  
11. For sweet red raspberies.. blowin off ants  and a belly full of peas shucked in my nightie.  
12. For the fawn out the window  while pouring coffee.  
13. And the cotton tail in my path unafraid.  
14. For the cat on the roof like a weathervane.  
15. Pony neighs and blackeyed susies.
16. The first load of zucchini and plans for fresh bread. 
17. For trails to walk and music that lifts this heart.higher. 
18. For praisin with gusto out loud and not even carin if the neighbors can hear or not.  
19. For a message in the clouds and hope of what's to come.
20. For the blue jay I watched pick up an empty  wet, paper straw casing and carried it off to line her nest.  
21. How he fills my lawn mower with gas so I don't have to lift heavy jugs. 
22. For the creak of the porch swing and evening whippoorwill.... 
23. For my bibles and how they all speak life into this olde soul
24. for friends who pray for me... even from afar.
25. For bein held and holding hands to sleep.  
26. His snoring and  how it gives me comfort.  
27. For tank tops in this heat and embracing these crepe lumberjack arms and the rest of this aging body just as is.  
28. The reminder that in Him I live and move and have my being.   
29. For the I get to's instead of I have to's. 
30. And for getting my want to's back.  
31. For contacts to wear sometimes.  
32. New christian tshirts that put a spring in my step.  
33. More paint chips and so many choices to spruce things up.
34. For dreamin .. and baby steps of change to this old farmhouse
35. Flowers galore and having a small part in the growing.  
36. That  God could love an olde gal like me with a shed.  
37. Connecting dots with others from my past, in this present and into our future.  Near and far.  
38. Learning creative new ways to love others where they are.  
39. Books and resources that make my life so much richer.  
40. Learning to just say NO to manipulating people and not giving excuses. 
41. Work and how things are working out too.  
42. 8 little feet to sweep  up after.
43. Handwashing dishes and singing them clean.
44. Our girl learning the Joyjoyjoy song and her giggling, "Sing it again!" 
45. The tour of her  new closet and how she showed us excitedly where she will keep all her lipstick.    
46. For this messy beautiful life and that I get to be here right now today: breathing it all in.
47. For protection when the wasp was stuck in my curl and not running into copperheads at dusk. 
48. That I get to be his helpmeet and the beautiful gift that is to me.  
49. For the work these two hands get to do and offering it to Him.  

Fifty:   For a Love I keep discovering daily that's so big and forever my mind just can't comprehend it.
