Here I share a few
random blessings.
For this Charlie Brown tree
weathering strong....
And the little bulb
who
could.
For the
tidal waves of blackbirds
changing directions in the sky.
For having both sons around
almost every day.
For business picking up
inspite of another ice storm.
And reminders
of a cold and stony heart.
For signs of life...
even through Winter.
And the witnessing of a
wisteria pod "explosion."
For bending limbs,
and beauty
..that all point me to
the
Creator.
To see
His fingerprints
on
the ordinary....
Extra-ordinary....
For my daughter in love Kayla...
who surprised me this week -twice.
One I can share here....
Her very first hand stitched quilt that she made into a pillow
just for "me."
(heart)
For a toasty warm house
in this bitter cold.
All our needs
met.
More visits from Wylie
caught on camera.
For time with Tony...
and how I realized that
we sorta share a common thing.
He writes and sketches his thoughts too...
I saved this after he "tried" to explain
troubleshooting a mechanical problem to "me."
I nodded ... while he spoke this language I don't understand-
and while he talked and I nodded... my heart loved God
for times like this that I get with him.
For the word that again teaches me to give my first
and my best....
And having it all come together even more...
through the box that the tomatoes came in.
Thank you Lord for my family, friends-
all these things and
so much more...
thank you for my everything...

Such beautiful pictures of ice and cold --- but you had a way to make it all seem warm and cozy in your heart! Cold, stoney hearts don't do that, Lea --- only the soft, warm hearts do. And you've got one of those. Your son's drawing made me think waaaaaay back to my Dad and how he would draw these pictures of Oil Burners that he worked on and tried to explain to my brother how it worked, etc. Yes, a whole 'nuther language us kids didn't understand at all. Love your list, Lea! So beautiful!
By all you can tell (and what you can't), by all you show and share--you show your heart, so ready to love, and full. You show Jesus.
