Time For Everything

Greetings and Holykisses,

While cleaning out the potting shed yesterday; I almost felt guilty.
I've been working so hard mowing, planting, tilling and cleaning... but I can't begin to describe how much fun I've been having. I just enjoy gardening so much!

--Over the weekend we stopped at a yard sale and I bought a primitive plant stand that had this red clock on it. As you can see; the hands are missing. I've thought about buying new parts and seeing if I can fix it. ........ but there's this part of me that likes it just the way it is.
When I first looked at it, I thought of how ....
time flies when I'm having fun.

How ...other times
time stands still.
(especially watching a clock!)

and --how about
" just killing time."

Let's not forget:
No time like the present.

But as I stood in the shed taking this photo, .... I remembered Ecclesiastes.
There, we're told that:
"everything has it's time."
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Everything Has Its Time

To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:

A time to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace.

Holykisses xoxo

I had to smile when I saw your picture, because I have a clock on my wall just like that one! It actually came with a pendulum -- you can use it with or without. LOVE that picture, Lea. And the verse that goes with it! To think that God has set aside for us times for certain things in our lives --- some of which we might consider a waste of time. I really loved reading that passage today. Thank you!

Aloha Friend! You know when I see that clock it makes me think of eternity with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! We will have all the time forever we want so no need for hands on a clock. that's what I though of when I looked at your beautiful pictures. So happy you are having fun in the garden. Plant some sweet peas for me :-)

I, too, would have a hard "TIME" decided whether or not to fix the clock. I think I'd be happy to leave it "as is"....

Lea, I am so glad you are enjoying your planting, such a busy time for you in the garden. Think I'll get busy too and plant up some containers to sit at the front door.
Thank you for the scripture verse.
Sending big hugs to you with love and blessings.
Happy Easter my friend.
