Greetings and Holykisses!!
Thought I'd share the morning with yall.
We had so much fun!
This has been quite an anticipated day!
For almost a month I've waited for this tag sale. :)
We've had the date marked on the calendar and my sweet husband and I have been planning on going twogether!
We set our alarm last night and got up super early for a breakfast date before the sale!
McDonalds here we come! We took the old 66 Chevy, went through the drive through and then parked and dined inside the truck. Just me n my sweetheart. He got a big breakfast, and I had the new oatmeal with fruit which was scrumdillyicious!!!!
We got to the sale an hour early and they did open a little early so I'm glad we we got there when we did. The early birds get the worms ya know!
This watercan was not a steal but still had me at hello Dolly!
Dents and all!!!
A few new vintage relatives also found their way to the truck.
I wish I knew their "stories."
The kiddie broom was hiding in the closet. It will be perfect for sweeping off potting soil in the olde shed!
This old pantry jar just needs a hot bath and fresh coat of paint on the lid.
After that, our cornmeal will have a new home!
The wash basin has seen better days but it will be great to wash dirt off veggies at the garden. I wonder how many babies it bathed? ;)
The egg basket has issues but a couple pieces of wire will fix that right up. The little vases were a bonus. ;)
I forgot to put the lid on the chicken waterer before snapping the photo. Ohwell, I think it will be planted with hens and chicks anyways.
This is my favorite find of the day. The handle feels like it was carved just for me and fits my hand so perfectly. The box is a nice sized compartment, and will save me many trips when planting and gathering. Lots of room for my pruning sheers, hay twine for tying up tomatoes, the weedeater string, my gloves... all those things I set down and can't remember where?????? Now I can save my apron pocket for my Ipod and cell phone so they don't get dirty next to the gloves and whatnot. There's so much to keep up with these days. lol
My hubby told me he could fix this little wagon for me.... so it came home with us too. I've had an old garden cart planted with moss roses for two years now but the bottom is all broken and it barely moves anymore. We've been looking for something to replace it with and this wagon should work great. (Tomorrow I'm going to the garden nursery with a friend.... I'm already dreaming of what to put in this lil wagon.)
Last but not least.... are these two chairs. They had a few others but these two have clamshell backs and we liked them best. I can count 6 layers of paint on the backsides. They were once painted this dark green, a light aqua, darker aqua, white, red, and blue. I'm not sure what color they'll end up. For now, I kinda like them just the way they are. Painty, chippy, peely, and rusty! I was kinda surprised that Myguy liked them too! Maybe I'll be able to talk him into sittin out back with me this weekend to hold hands and stargaze in the old "sweetheart chairs?"
Time to sign off and head to the store to buy some real butter.
It's a dear friends' birthday today, so I have a buttermilk chocolate cake to bake!
Have a wonderful day today!
Holykisses and happy tag sales, xoxo

Wow looks like you hit the jackpot!! Such neat treasures you all found! Really glad I found your blog.
What a perfectly wonderful day with your sweetie!! And your treasures.Be still me heart! I too always wish I knew the story behind each treasure.
OOOOPS sorry I forgot. Love love love your chevy truck!
I'm soooo jealous!!!! So many wonderful treasures. You know, I'm probably the one who put the six layers of paint on those chairs. When I was in Virginia for 4 years, it was my job every spring to drag the chairs up, clean them with a wire brush, and then repaint them -- AGAIN! I love that jar. I think I would have grabbed that one before you did!!!! But most of all, I love your truck!!!!! How romantic ---- drive through breakfast in a 66 pickup!!!!
Looks like you found some really great deals!
Blessings,
Jill
Oh my sweet friend I can just HEAR your excitement over your great finds. GIrl I want to take you with me a tag sale hunting. I can only dream cuz there is no such things here. Only "moving back to the mainland sales" and most of those items are new. Not shabby chic like you can find girl :-) So happy you had a good day with your beloved.
oxoxo to you dear heart
Girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to go next time......PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! and tell me something... can you paint that lid and then use the jar? Really...... I did not know you could paint a lid......... You are so country...... I could even hear the twang in your voice....... hahahah
I just saw one of those chicken water things at the thrift store, but did not know what it was. Think the lid was stuck, so did not buy it. maybe I'll go back and try harder.
