Abe and I were in the shop all day today. The wind howled, and that concrete floor was mighty cold. We listened to the weather across the nation and know many of you were enduring blizzard conditions. My heart truly goes out to you! I've turned into such a pansy, and forget what true cold is! That said;.... I'm counting my blessings this evening to share for Thankful Thursday.
~My Random 5 Blessings~
1. First, I'm thankful a loved one's surgery went well today.
Thank You Lord for hearing our prayers, and keeping him in your care.
2. I'm thankful that we had a nice visit with Mil and Fil last week, and
that they had safe travel on their way home... inspite of the bad weather they ended
up driving into.
3. I'm so thankful for our warm farmhouse. There are so many homeless people
in the world, and I can't even imagine being out in this cold, without a place to "be."
I'm so spoiled. (When God talks about rich people in the bible, I often tend to think He
was talking about famous, filthy rich people. But He wasn't. He was talking about us.)
We're those filthy rich people.
Thank you Lord for thee abundant gifts you've given us. Thank you for our old house, that blocks out this wind. Thank you for sweaters, coats, mittens and blankets.
Thank you for hot showers, and the heater in my truck.
Forgive me when I've taken all these incredible gifts you've given me for granted.
4. I'm thankful Trent saw the doctor today and started antibiodics.
He's coughed so hard. I'm grateful our family has access to doctors
and medicine. Many don't.
Thank You.
5. I'm thankful for your lavished love.
Gifts that came through hugs, visits, encouragement, emails, a scripture tag,
cards, pictures, ornaments, cookie cutters, and other
colorful and creative wrappings of friendships.
Thanks God. I know that
Have a wonderful day!

Lea... I especially liked your #3 as it gave me plenty to think about. How often have I taken for granted the abundance God has given me!
Thanks sweet sister,
