Greetings and Holykisses,
In just one week; families all over will be gathering together to feast with love and gratitude.
Oh how I love Thanksgiving. I love my family!! With memories flooding my mind of Thanksgivings PAST; I can't help but be aware of how blessed I've been; and am!
Every day is a gift from God. And every good and perfect gift comes from above.
Counting my blessings; here I share my random 5:
1. I'm thankful for sweet memories I've been having of my AngelMother. This week, I came across a little notebook that was hers, and I discovered on a page inside, she was planning one of our Thanksgiving menus. In her handwriting it says
turkey, salad, Leaon Leann *(Leann is my Sil)
dressing, corn
potatoes, buns
And then I found another place she wrote: Leaon 2 pies
I love to see my name written in Momma's handwriting. And I'm thankful to
have found this special treasure.
2. I'm thankful I can read and write.
Reading and writing are two things I've always loved to do.
I can't imagine if I'd have never learned these two very important
life changing blessings. Without them, I could not read my beloved bible,
read the page with Momma's Thanksgiving list;... I couldn't read snail mail from friends, read and pay bills etc, read my friends blogs, or even write posts- here at the potting shed.
I'm thankful for this incredible blessing I take so very for granted.
3. I'm thankful I can drive. I take for granted jumping in one of the
vehicles here, and having enough gas to get from point A to point B.
I don't even think about it. If I "want" to go somewhere, --I just go.
I'm blessed to have this luxury. Thank you Lord.
4. I'm thankful for flannel sheets, and layers of cozy, warm blankets.
The nights are getting cold now, but our nest is warm and dry.
5. I'm thankful we have plenty of food. I love to cook and bake, and I'm thankful
to have access to groceries as we need and want them. When we got married, we had little money, but the Lord blessed us with a little house in the country and as our boys grew, we raised goats, chickens, rabbits and pigs. The chickens were for eggs; and we milked the goats. It was hard for me to raise bunnies and hogs for meat. Especially to
help butcher 8 week old rabbits. But we did and were grateful to have them!
Today,... our fridge is full, and I didn't have to butcher anything.
Mrs. Potter; my rabbit... is my pet and thankfully we don't have to eat her!
I don't milk the cows, nor the goat- and the fridge has a gallon and a half of milk in it
from the store. Even a quart of buttermilk. Our chickens have been scolded because they're molting and I'm not finding any eggs right now. But one of these days; that will
soon change and meanwhile, their feed barrel has been staying full. -- Again, I'm thankful.
Our Lord Provides.
And my heart is filled
with
Thanksgiving.

Your beautiful, thankful heart blesses me. I love you.
Hi precious friend,
So enjoyed reading your heart-felt list of gratitude and visiting with you today.
The LORD is good and indeed every good gift is from HIM. Amen!
Love you.
My Lieb, your beautiful heart overflows with thanksgiving. What a blessing you are to me!
I'm thankful for dear friends like you, who share their faith in such a loving way. You are a treasure! Happy Thanksgiving! Hugs!
You are a really special person and have so much to be thankful for. I'm not so sure I could have done the things you have done especially in the early years of your marriage. I'm blessed to have a friend like you. You are so real and humble and I can tell how much you love God and guess what - He loves you just as much and so do I.
I always come away from here, loving you more and more. Every good and perfect gift comes from HIM!
Love ya
