One of my favorite things to do... and it sounds crazy...
is cutting out words or phrases from old books.
Once I start... it's like eating a bag of ... frosted animal cookies or
peas off the vine in Springtime, or
one more cast when the fish are biting...
I don't want to stop.
Please. don't. make. me. stop.
So; a friend and I were talking just today about "therapies." This to me...
is therapy.
I love words.
When I start cutting them out in book pages... more will jump out at me...
something I relate to... something I love... something beautiful... something CRAZY...
hilarious...
And taking a jumbled mess of them... and rearranging them into something meaningful...
it's addicting... at least to me anyway.
--Once I start... I lose track of time.
Then I feel like I've been wasting time...
but shhh not really!! I mean there are
worse things I could be doing right?
So the prompt today was on wasted time.
- I grabbed a favorite cutter book 'St. Margaret Mary" and
glued these words down on my messy, ... page.
The top corner was torn, so I grabbed that beautiful blue and gold
tidbit. It was sent to me from my friend Dawn and has been sitting on my desk.
It's covering my almost torn off corner... just stapled on.
And that's it!
I kinda want to go back after it's dry and build on it.
But even if I don't ... I enjoyed this time that I spent.
Until we meet again.

Lea creating is the best therapy of all. I love the idea of cutting out words and adding them to a art journal page. Sounds like a lot of fun. Hope you have a great weekend. Hugs!
Good to know you are keeping better Lea, I was concerned.....Glad you have found a "therapy" to work on with a friend. Cutting out words is an interesting pastime and if it takes your mind off all the not so nice things going on, then it has got to be beneficial
Sending best wishes to you and your family.
God Bless
