Decking the Walls, Halls and ALL That

So there are a million other things I ought to be doing... and here i am.
Guess I needed to walk away for a little bit.
I know it's a little early maybe to be decorating for Christmas but...
I'm getting a jump on things this year.
Have you noticed what a mess everything becomes
when you unbox Christmas?
I'm hoping Myguy is late tonight so I can actually finish
before he opens the door.

Watching Christmas movies I'm always amazed when I watch
the whole family decorate their  tree.
That has never happened here.
Maybe when our boys were little tots ... they helped a little but..
once they got a clue... they wanted no part of it.
Somehow it turned into a given that Mom
does  the decorating.  How is it in your family?
Do you have the big shindig and someone plays piano
while everyone puts ornaments on your  tree?
I wonder?
I think it's probably different maybe if you have sons?
Mine wanted to be out building hotrods and hanging out with friends.
They both bought and owned their own vehicles before they were legal to  drive so I'm really not kidding at all...
I bet girls are different?
I wouldn't know.
Falalalalalaaaa

Anyway... the tree is up... and now
I need to carry all the old totes back to the shed and
actually decorate.
That's really the fun part.

This is one of my favorite things...
This old nativity. I don't know if it will stay on this shelf ...
it's just where it landed out of the box.
But unwrapping each piece is like opening presents for me.

I had to dig and dig to find  this set.
I put things in a safe place so well..  and...you know what happens after that....
My sister made this  for me in 1984.
(How did all of my things become vintage so fast? lol )
Anyway, I love this all white set so much.
Think it will stay right there.

Well, coffee break is over...
Time to crank up the music and get this place dolled up  for the holidays.
Anyone else starting early?
Please don't boo and hiss.
Until we meet again,
<*)))><

Lea, I am not booing and hissing :) I love your nativity figures.

I can imagine Blakelea will be excited to see the tree.

Hope you enjoy your day of decorating and music (and coffee). Blessings and Joy.

Lea I am the only one who does the decorating. It is not a Hallmark Christmas although I like to put on some Christmas music when I do the tree. It is nice you get started early...I usually get started the weekend after Thanksgiving. Your white nativity set from your sister is beautiful. Have a lovely day. Hugs!
