My Deer,..... Be Still My Heart

 Hello friends, 

I saw a cool thing and just had to share... !  

So I got up today and have lots of  to do's.  

Had to run errands and go get a few groceries 

because our Sweet is coming to spend the night with us. 

Papa and Grammy have to have snacks ya know.  

It's kind of  one of the only rules we actually have. 

Well... so I jump in the Jeep and head down our driveway and then...

I see her....  

 The doe.  

She's often at our crab apple tree and

I figured that must be where she was going.. 

I didn't want to scare her so I just stopped.  

So often I've been walking  to our water hydrant but 

then I'll  see her at the tree  so I turn around and give her some space. 

I try to wait patiently 

til she's done eating.  

It's hers; the tree.  

I gave it to her and 

all the other deer long ago. (It was my Christmas present 

money from Grampa and Grama Star decades ago.)  As

I sat there watching her to see what 

she was going to do... I saw something out

of the corner of my left eye.  .....  

 a fawn!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to try hard to hold my squeeeeeeeal inside- 

but I did.  

 Ohhhh how beautiful Lord!

It was just awesome!!  This baby must have been 

bedded down in the really tall grass out in our pasture.  

But then .... what??? what???? 

 Another one came through the fence!!  

Oh sweet Lord... this is just awesome!!!!  

I sat still and they began  looking down the driveway to their Mama.  

My heart was just a throbbbbbbing.  

You might coulda heard it... ! 

 Then they took off for the warmth and protection 

of  their sweet Mother.  

 That little leap was so cute.  

Yall.... I mean... I can't.  

I just can't.  

What ya gonna say?  

The olde Mama in me just ... melted all over the dannnng place.  

Then it got even better.  

They were famished!!!!!!!! 

Their little tails twitched happily and they stood their nursing away.... 

And Mama let them ... right there.  She must have felt fairly safe.

I sat there in Park... watching and thankin God for all His  delicious

goodness He shares with me... and all of us! 

  

This is the good stuff yall.  

So good!
