Counting the gifts...
--these moments...
and documenting the love that we share.
And one day these books will all be passed down to you.
I hope you feel my love and know that you are one of my
greatest gifts.
Yesterday I witnessed wonder in your eyes when you discovered
the seeds your little hands planted ... grew green.
New life ... from your seed sown.
May you continue to bear good fruit in your beautiful life and
learn to use the gifts God breathed into you my sweet.
You are learning to give to others...
and feed them well.
You are my "puddleduck" and you
remind me to play... hard.
Oh how I love splashing this creek with you...
Do you know your Daddy played in these very woods?! He and your Uncle built
a city in the treetops. This was their " Sherwood forest," and now it is yours. They plucked Grammy's chickens and made their very own bows and arrows to shoot from their shetland steed.
Maybe your imagination will gallop wild here too.
Today you told me that we "match."
My heart welled up and started to spill.
While you cooked, you sprinkled from your Great Grandmother's tin of Love.
This was in her kitchen while I was growing up.
I pass it onto you with all my heart.
Bowing our heads
we give thanks ... not only for our cheese pizza and cheetos...
but for you my love!
I hope you understand one day what all of this means to me.
When you want "Grammy" and just want me to hold you...
Really... I feel like it is you who are holding me.
We hold each other!
Today you saw Papa make a u turn in the road.
When a man will brave chiggers and seed ticks to pick you
wildflowers...!!!!!!!
This is love.
We are loved.
All these moments
are things I have prayed for.
May the Lord bless you and protect you.. may the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you,... may the Lord show you His favor and give you His peace.
I love you my sweet.
your Grandmother
