.... To see another month turn over into
new...
Hello October.
For this sweet little kitten who strolled into
the mechanics shop and meowed to Myguy.
She sleeps in the windowbox.
And that she's still here... a week later.
Whether we keep her or not,
she's been this sweet, torti-fluff of joy-
For the rusty butterflies that hang from this
weed like a Christmas tree.
For a little time to go over to the kids' house and watch boys
while Momma had a meeting.
And for the whole five seconds young Carter crawled up in my lap and
laid his head on my shoulder for a snuggle.
For boy laughter and
tent makin and pretend camping
with Blaineboy who's imagination is growing bigger than 4.
... for the memories that flooded in watching these two little bros
layin on their sides fixin dump trucks as if they're rollin on a creeper.
And the other two brothers now 28 and 30 ...
who still do the very same thing.
Only they don't use plastic pretend wrenches
but snapons instead.
For the friend who's in the heating and air business and that
he put a new unit in our house after the old one quit.
For cooler temperatures while it was out... and the money to have it all fixed.
Luxury we take for granted.
For time together...
riding a ferris wheel and enjoying one another
hand in hand.
For moments pondering
the Light of the world.
For the good harvest of corn ...
and time with a friend when I took extra stalks to her.
Her long and faithful friendship is always a bright spot in my days.
For having plenty-
in our cupboards, fridge and
bellys.
For this hen who showed up with
6 new chicklets.
A total surprise.
For the "living" word and how it keeps on
bringing things to life.
For some Momma-Son time...
So many dots this week... people I haven't talked to in a long time and out of the blue
we connected. It seems like life could be so lonely without dots all connecting.
For my daughter in love's words of truth just when I needed to hear it...
that God; He's got this no matter what.
In the moment... I wasn't seeing it like that...
and He used her to give a word in season
to me while I was weary.
We have so much to always be thankful for...
Thank you Lord for all these things and so much more...
Thank you for my every thing.
And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the booksthat would be written. Amen.
