Greetings and Holykisses,

--What a weekend.
It was so beautiful. Cool mornings and warm afternoons.
Joyful.
Well; we did have a few little squalls but...
nothin too major.

Carter is teething already.
He was kinda fussy.... and was blowing alot of

bubbles.
And he's also learned to  L O L too.
It's pretty funny when he does it.
And it makes me L O L too.
One thing I've learned is...
I STINK at trying to comb out
little girl hair.
The kids get here early...and if you've noticed Alyssa has this
super naturally curly Nicole Kidman like hair.
Keep in mind... we had boys.
And when they were little it went uncombed most of the time
or buzzed smooth off.
I never learned "how" to
fiddle with all that hair.
It's different when it's on your OWN head too... trust me.
Now last week, when I tried to brush Alyssa's hair...
I made her cry at one point.  I finally gave her the brush.
But drybrushing it... ohmyword all that hair stuck out nearly a foot  from her head after
that most of the day.
And this week she gets here with bed head.  Trent says, "Momma, in a little while,
just wet her hair and it will comb right out.
Liar Liar Pants on FIRE!  I say.
Coz I tried that... and made her cry again!
I asked Alyssa "What does Mommy do to fix your hair?"  Does she comb it wet like this really?
Alyssa says, "No... she BRUSHES it wet.
I'm guessing Trent said comb and meant brush???  egads....
Somehow... we got all those snarls out...I'm telling you... that"No more tangles" spray
is on my grocery list BEFORE next Saturday.  I hope and pray they still make it!

I was so happy to see this smile
after it was all said n done.
Good grief!

And "doing" markers
put me way back UP on Alyssa's
NICE list.
Later on; it was so nice out that we all ate
lunch  on the back porch.  Even Trent and
Bigdaddy.  Soup n samiches taste better
on the porch. Even burnt tomato soup.

After work when the kids went home, Mike and I rode the motorcycle
to Russellville and grazed along the buffet line at Western Sizzlin.
It was so good.  Myguy doesn't like salad so when we go to a place with a huge salad bar,
I love to indulge in fresh mushrooms, cucumbers, tomatoes, and lots of pickled okra, and green olives on salad.  All the things I hardly ever buy since I'm the only one who eats it.  (See another reason why I like to garden?!) haha

On the way there;  I wore a tank top and long sleeve shirt on top,  and then put a hoodie on for the way home.  It was getting dark by then.
By the time we got back... I was super snuggled up to my "myguy my heater" in front of me.
Brrrr... it got pretty nippy!  Driving over the Arkansas River felt like it was around 10 degrees  warmer than the rest of the air. It surprised us.
Sunday afternoon, Tony and Michelle came over and we all went
out target practicing.  It was so much fun.
Myguy has a 22 with a scope he'd never sited in so it was fun everyone taking turns
trying to hit the cans we had set out.
Tony made some circle targets and pinned them to trees.
It was a blast.. no pun intended.
I think this was Michelles first time really shooting and
she was a natural!  What a good eye!  After just a couple shots she was blowing every target away!
We took my little revolver target shooting too.
Had to laugh looking at all the photos coz I don't think
I can shoot  without making a  mean face.

At the end of the day, the dogs and I went walking.
There was a pretty pale pink sunset.
... So many jet tracks across the sky.
I liked the patterns they made together.
Reminded me how there is so much going on all around us that we don't even know.

Better get this new day going....
Holykisses xoxo L

Hey grandma, get a pick or wide tooth comb for that hair, it's a must! lol Another thing we have in common, I like to target shoot too, even took third place in a black powder shoot many moons ago! LOL Those kids are so cute!!

My granddaughter Kristina has Nicole Kidman hair also. So I totally relate to the combing adventure.:) Little Carter is cute as a button...and at such a snuggle age. I like shooting targets but am a little gun shy. Never have hit anything LOL

Lea, what fun you've been having. Baby Carter is a sweetie pie. I can relate to the combing of long hair, I can remember as a lass having long hair and not liking combing or brushing time. What a lovely time to spend with those babies though, so precious.
