Greetings and Holykisses,
Yesterday, I was thinking of my Grama Ruby and how she taught me to "use what I have." The green, marble earring had belonged to her and after it broke, she wound all that thread on it, trying to fix it. On days when I'm tempted to want something newer or better, I often think of this earring.
"Keep your lives free from the love of money and be
content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." Hebrews 13:5

I can tell Lea that you are a lot like Grama Ruby, creative and thrifty... and I would have loved her too!! Have a blessed day my friend
Such a sweet post and I love the background, I almost used it too! Great minds! :)
Contentment - what a loaded word with sooooo many images for every different person. Your post has given me much to ponder - I just love that!! Great blog, btw!! :)
Amen sweet sis.
Amen! I am learning to be more and more content with what I have. Of course I also find it very hard to throw away something that even hints at still having a purpose. :D
I hope everything is going well for you Lea! Much love to you my friend!
Aloha Dear Heart Lea! I am with Sue, almost used your new background! Love this layout, by far my favorite header that you have used. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. You are really good at headers AND blogging:-)
Yea Grandma Ruby, no only is her name really Rubacious, her philosophy of thriftyness is so pertinant for us today. Besides recycling is really in and popular. She was a woman before her time!!! It's so easy to get the WANTS but one thing for sure, we never go without when we "WANT" for Jesus!!! Sending you lots of fond Aloha Paula
I sometimes think if I was "normal' I would refurnish my house. But I love the history of the bits and pieces and they are mine.....not just from a store or interior decorator......
Yep...I want my treasure up there.....
Enough junk and stuff down here.
Hugs
Just darling ~!!
