Greetings and Holykisses!
Yesterday, we took the day off and went to the 52nd Annual Petit Jean car show.
This is a perfect way for us to celebrate Father's day a little early, as it's one of "Myguy's" favorite things to do. --I think it's safe to say; it's becoming tradition for us.
It was super hot, but with 1500 vendor's spaces... you can find some shaded places under the beautiful trees or tents. And the lemonade and funnel cakes make the heat,... extremely sweet!
There are cars galore to look at.
I liked this old Bel Air. A terracotta pot on wheels!
Myguy always ventures toward the old station wagons.
This truck had a cool license plate.
And the back: <*)))><
We found Smoky and the Bandit too.
There were a lot of hotrods, antique trucks, vendors with racing parts, and tons of old junk. Wonderful, beautiful, rusty, JUNQUE!
I sorta wish we could just step back in time and all drive something like this.
Old blue here kinda caught our fancy.
Although we're truck people... I think I could drive this. Couldn't you?
Or pretty much anything aqua!
Especially this robins egg blue BURB! We both could imagine bringing this home! Made my heart sing when Myguy headed that way! haha He is my soulmate!!
It would sorta match the shabby olde potting shed don't you think?
We had so much fun.
Found a few goodies too! Our son was needing tires and came across a like new set for his Jeep! They were just like the ones he already had on it... only good! haha Came across those on our way home!! And imagine my surprise to go the car show and find this book! I'm including a picture of it since so many of you expressed interest this Spring when we talked about biblical garden plants! This is stamped inside with "discarded" and was a library book from Centerville. Isn't that something? That's where we go drag racing!
You just never know what you'll find!? "Every good and perfect gift is from above." James 1:17!!!!!!!
Our "Big Daddy" (Myguy) seemed to really have great time. He found some things at the car show too, and even ordered a bumper at a speed shop! What a trip!
Hope yall have a wonderful weekend too!
Don't forget to lavish love on the Daddy's in your life!
We'll be barbecuing here after church. Speaking of which; I have a special chocolate buttermilk cake to go bake.
Smoochy holykisses xoxo

Looks like a great day for all! I love those old cars and trucks, they just don't make them like that anymore!
ALoha! ??? for Trent. Is that red car an old Edsel? Or do you know Lea? You just may!!!!! Your gifts keep on suprising me. So happy you had a good day with Family and what a fun tradition.
Ok......... Now I know we are Twinkies! I LOVE the car shows... Back in the 80's my husband (boys dad) before we divorced went to car shows all summer..... We had a 1956 F100 Ford candy apple red! We won lots of trophies..... We would spend the weekends in a tent right next to the truck....... OMG.... I loved it...... I so miss doing that but now my son Chris is building the same model truck..... Maybe we will have shows to go to in the future.....
Be blessed today girl
