Now, I'm so wide awake and alert.... is anyone up out there?
I have 5 verses that I need to record on this day.
First:
Deuteronomy 6:5 has become my life verse. Love God, your God with your whole heart. Love Him with all that's in you, love Him with all you've got." (The message)Well, recently, God's been showing me to include my "mind" in that. He brought me to:
Mark 12:30 "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy
strength: this is the first commandment."
31: And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour
as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these."
Then, everywhere I seem to look these days, I see "sparrow." As the word, as the bird, ... it's just been all over the place. Then yesterday, ... God gave me this verse:
"But even the very hairs of your head are numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows." Luke 12:7
You may not have noticed but even the last banner I had on, .... I'd written a verse from: Matthew 6:26 "Look at the birds of the air, they do not sow or reap, or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"
I have no answers... but I know that these verses will be special for me this year. In praying, ... and searching for that strong anchor, .... I was abit surprised. Because once again, the Lord brought me to that verse that I'd found on my friend's blog that she'd closed. Isaiah 40:31 has come back around to me again. Practically landed in my lap, just as that tiny scrap of paper that kept turning up in my workspace when I was making cards at Christmas.
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31.
This evening as we were driving home from town, we had American family radio on and through an entire program, Isaiah 40 was discussed.
So those are my special verses for 2010
Focus: to love God with all my heart, soul, mind and strength.
and love my neighbor as myself.
1. Remember that God knows me so well, that every hair's numbered, and to fear not-- because I'm valuable.
2. Also, to: wait on God and He'll renew my strength, rising above my circumstances-- on wings like eagles.
If you too, found an anchor verse for the new year, I'd love for you to share it here.
I'm gonna wander outdoors now and say good night to the Blue Moon.
Thankyou so much for blessing me with your visits and sweet friendships.
God bless yall, sweet dreams, and Happy new year.

I just love your insight! I'll be tagging along with you in 2010 for sure!! Hugs!
"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13 NIV
And the word, I believe for me for 2010 is to SEEK.
Love,
Yolanda
You should have been a preacher.
May God bless you throughout the New Year. I gain a lot of ministry through you and some others especially when I don't go to church.
We were going through some really hard times when the girls were in their teens (nothing bad) but the scripture God always gave me was "Wait upon the Lord." I knew He would answer our prayers whenever I would see that verse and He has.
Happy New Year,
From my heart to yours
