Greetings and Smoochy Holy Kiss daaaarling! ;) I am so happy to be a part of today's "Show us Your form" ParTY*. Mostly because being in the company of other manny-lovers I don't feel like such a kook! LOL I know ya'll know what I'm talkin about! Some people don't "understand" us.* ;) Some people as Tiffany's husband are rather "frightened" at first.... you know... with headless bodies here and there... and then people like us who actually dress them up...????? Is it just me or do ya'll get A LOT of raised eyebrows? My husband is wonderful about it... my daughter- in- love "LOVES" it; and I see that twinkle in her eye as well... but my sons.... well;.... when they see Momma carrying these headless forms here and there and spending HOURS having photo shoots... well I think they are worried a phone call to Bell View is in my future! -- Do you ever hear your kids say, "Dad... is Mom okay?" !!!!!!!!!!! THANK MY LORD, for WONDERFUL, WOMEN LIKE YOU WHO "uNdErStaNd." So.... On with the show!....
This is the Contessa Urina Mariah. Named, partly by the lovely Phyllis from Shabby in the City. I had found this mannequin at the local FLEA and of course was positively delighted by her (ahem) charming qualities. Her fabric was hanging half off, so when I brought her home I finished ripping off the rest. Then taped off the top part and walked back inside JUST FOR A SEC to grab the spray paints; and letting Abe our beloved Pembroke corgi out- as I went in. I grabbed the paints and walked out the door only to see him IN THEE ACT... DESECRATING her base! Leg hiked, and mid-stream I am completely HORRIFIED! "Abraham, HOW could you?" I scared my beloved half to death.... and after consoling him, had to go get the 409 and paper towels to console the Contessa. Later, on my blog, I shared the story with everyone and Phyllis had the PERFECT name: Urina! So there you have it: the Contessa Urina Mariah.
This manny's name is Maude. She has the heart of a servant and is usually found donning her aprons in my craft room. She LOVES aprons and Pearls and vintage brooches the best! But what girl doesn't? *
Here is Urina Mariah, PUTTERING around the Potting shed. She loves FLORALS, AND usually has my pruning shears and a pocketful of posies.
Here she is: Keeper of the Potting shed.
Had to add this one... and I think, this is where the family... gets worried. LOL
Urina Maria IS OFTEN found in the garden. Here, she played hide and seek in the cornfield! Do yours do that too??????????????????
Feather boas are a girls best friend. Especially with a country straw hat full of FRESH off the farm millinery!
This is as dressed uP as Maude ever gets. She's much more comfortable in her old frock and apron.
And the Contessa Urina Mariah.... has been planning her wedding.
She never takes off her skeleton key... and wears it close to her heart. Maybe, she'll have a garden wedding? Maybe all of your manny's will be invited? LOLWell thanks for visiting the Potting shed today! I'm off to go see if anyone else posted or if I should indeed just check myself IN* Be sure to visit Tiffany at Shabby Scraps and the long list of others who weren't afraid to SHOW THEIR FORM!
Have a beeeautiful day,
Blessings,
L
