Gratitudes 17

Greetings and Holykisses,

It's probably not the best day for me to get a blog on.
I'm kind of a shabby, olde, sap today!
Do you ever feel so happy you just cry over every lil thing?
I guess I hope you do... coz then at least they're good tears right?

-- Please try to overlook the fact that my intent has been to post Gratitudes on Thursdays' and here it is Saturday.

Random Blessings... Gifts!

My God has given me friends in some of the most amazing and surprising ways.
I once found a friend when she came to my yard sale.
-another moved in her Papaw's house down the country road.
One came to pray with me at the altar.
Others were in the choir with me.
One I bought buttons from on Ebay.
Another won one of my Ebay auctions! Her friendship divinely trickled to one of her friends
and before we knew it we were like 3 Musketeers.
Still another was found when I bought a vintage relative picture from her!
Isn't it cool how God works?!
Then God birthed the Shabby Olde Potting shed and still blesses me more than I could ever imagine possible with new friendships. I can hardly believe it all!
I'm thankful.
So thankful!

The gift of friendships,
actually leads me to the picture up above.
Remember Gardener woman?
Well, she made me this journal cover this week with her own two lil hands.
She knows I like black-eyed Susies so she
stitched this and then beaded it coz she said she knows I like
some *sparkle.*
Oh God you just amaze me!
I thank You for the love I feel from You,
through all these friendships!

I'm thankful for this shabby olde farmhouse.
-For the macaroni and cheese, little boxes of jiffy cornbread, and the lasagna and cheeseburger hamburger helpers in the cupboards. For bags of frozen vegetables, and the Tony's four cheese pizza waiting in the freezer, ....
the full bags of flour and sugar to be made into cookies, and the brown sugar and chocolate chips hiding in the pink breadbox!
For the gallon of milk, buttermilk, ketchup, hotdogs, tub of butter, cheeses, and green eggs in the fridge.-- I take food so for granted. Even our dogs have
their Pedigree and fresh water in the dog bowls.
We all have food. My God provides!

For sons and .... and the many ways they express their love:
Like Trent with his "Cmere Mom,"- with arms held open.
And Tony's sweet "comment."

For the toasty warm central heat that was turned on for the first time
this past week.
How blessed I am to be warmed with the flip of a tiny switch!

For the lit candle that united my heart to ChickyJean's heart
in Scotland. (Another gift of friendship!)

For lessons this week
-Such as: Peace!
Our Sisterchick bible study this week was on Peace, part two.
We discussed many trials we'd had and ... are enduring.
I was reminded that no matter what I go through... I can have peace
with God.
-I will continue to park my little olde self in the shadow of His wings.
"Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in Thee: yea, in the shadow of Thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast." Psalm 57: 1
My greatest lesson this week was

A lady I barely know gave me a heap of grace this week that meant so much to me!
I'd been wrestling with something for days... and torment is an understatement!
Something bothered me so much that it was eating me alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I prayed so hard and really wanted to do the right thing.
I prayed, "God please work this out! Oh God please help me."

I finally called her to speak what was all on my heart.
She really listened... and without going into it,
She said she totally understood and it was absolutely okay!
I'd been given grace!
I learned a huge lesson from this whole experience.
I thanked the woman with all my heart and although
I'm not sure if she's a Christian; I told her that I knew she had given
me grace. As I said those words... I kinda felt something strange through that phone line.
I know what it was now.

I had God's peace!
Something I could rest in!
God had been merciful to me and
I had found my refuge
In Him.

Psalm 84:11
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

John 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

and Peace!
