"May have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ," Ephesians 3:18
Greetings and Holykisses,
This verse came to me this morning after I wrote a note to my Mil.
I began thinking of how great God's love is. How big it is! We can't comprehend it. Our little brains can't even begin to imagine it, no matter how smart we think we are or aren't.
In our family, we always part using the three sweet words of love that I'm sure you do as well. But often times, we add our silly-nilly love when we write notes, emails and even feel extra mooshy. It's great fun, and always gives an added heap of .....spicy zest and zeal trying to find the right words to express your great love. Let's use some examples.
For instance, It begins with "I love ya liiiiike..... and is followed with a pause. Pause, to give time to think uP something good. Something worthy.....! Here are a few I've heard, and used a time a two.
Me to Myguy.... I love ya like........ a 1969 chevelle on a warm summer night; cruising!
Myguy to me.... I love ya like...... a bouquet of blackeyed susans.
It's always great fun to ask the boys' "What do you love me like?" They pause and come out with the craziest things.... usually automotive by nature. I've been loved like cams, stalls, holly carburaters, slicks, ... you name it; if it's high performance, I've been loved like it. lol
Many of my friends love me like "somethin fun and wonderful" .... as well. Funny how it's the little things in life that touch your heart... and warm you isn't it. The greatest commandment God says is to
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these." Mark 12:29
This morning I'm thinking of the purest love of all. The love of God.
It's so easy to get distracted in this life. We are so limited "here."
Even our words. The bottom line is God loved us so much that He sent His son to die for us. He knows the widest, longest, highest, and deepest love of all.
"I have loved you with an everlasting love" Jeremiah 31:3
Thank you Lord Jesus.
I love ya like........
forever and always
