Howdy friends,
It's been one of those quiet days I've come to love so much.
A friend of mine and I have been talking lately how when life gets chaotic and
we're thrown out of the norm; we then realize how much we really enjoyed
living the simple life. So I'm feeling thankful today... for the simple joys.
The day started off with my devotional time.
Out of the blue awhile later came a text from a kindredHEART in Texas.
We got to talkin about what "word" we got from God today, so I sent
her my verse right out of my devo journal. She wrote back that it spoke to her
and emphasized to me the "alls"
Isn't it pretty awesome how God will connect our dots and
how when we share something He's doing in our life.. often
it moves into something else... and connects more dots?
I love it. Thanks Charlie for sharing the all with me today.
Well the sweet pink roses Myguy gave me
were bowing low today. I knew they would soon
start dropping blossoms, so tied and hung upside down to dry.
I just want them stay longer.
There's a rumor going around here that some lady here hoards
flowers.
That's just mean. lol
Another sweet ordinary thing was catching up
and actually going ahead just a tad on Listers Gotta List.
It's so much fun recording life through Cori's prompts.
Any other listers out there?
Another sweet and beautiful moment today was
teatime. I participated in a Valentine swap this year and one of the gals
made this adorable tea caddy and added four teabags to it. As you can see
vanilla chai was my pick today. Myguy gave me the sweetheart cup one year
and it felt so festive today...
Earlier today I got this cute text from Myguy. I know it says 4:18 but that's
because I just screenshot the photo. lol ANYways.. I try to keep cookies and bars
and things on the breakroom table at the other shop for him and the guys. Seeing this
little debbie heart, he told me he had them left over from when I put them in his truck
threeeeee weeks ago. Ha. Well I baked cookies two days ago for them all but knew they
must be all gone for him to be eating three week old heart cakes.
So time to don an apron.
These are his favorite bars: ScotcheROOS.
In the photo it looks like half are unfrosted but really it was just one row.
One of the guys doesn't like chocolate much there so we aim to please. lol
Usually someone always writes me after sharing treats here at the shed asking for a recipe
so I included it right on the picture even though I've shared it here before. - You can use butterscotch chips or peanut butter chips mixed
with the chocolate chips for frosting.
Least I know on break time this afternoon my sweetheart didn't have to eat something that might be turning
green. AND... I am so saving that picture he sent me to tip-in .. into my journal.
I'm headed out for a walk but wanted to share a scripture picture of
one of my friend Cora's favorite verses.
This is what the Lord says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls.
But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls.
But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
Asking for the ancient paths,
and where the good way is-
It's where I want to walk.
Love, Leaon mary

LOVE the teacup! I have a husband who does not do Valentine's Day...yeah fun times NOT had by all!
Lea, I am glad you are having good days and connecting with friends and sharing God's Word and sharing here.
I don't know what's going on across the big pond but I cannot seem to get in touch with you either by text or email and I miss our connection. I am thankful to be able to come visit you at the shed. Such a blessing.
