Christmas Cards....

 Day 4,  Christmas cards.
Today we received our first two Christmas cards of the  season.
It was sheer joy to find them in the mailbox.
I love sending and getting cards... don't you?
So far I have our cards bought; but I've only mailed one out.
It had to go early because it's traveling to Scotland!!  xoxo

The nativity card on the left of the photo.. was my first boxed cards  purchase of 2015.
I like to stick with nativity themes but ... sometimes
I get tempted by others as well.  Like...

"this"  one.  I stopped in the Tuesday Morning's store and
spotting this card; and  ended up buying two boxes.
I don't know what it is with deer these days but I love
all the woodlands-  especially bucks with big antlers,
bear, fox... bunnies, trees... anything earthy.
Anything with a reindeer takes me back to my childhood.
I'll try to share why in a later post.

Alright yall,
Thinking of the stacks of all these blank cards;
I just better get to them.

Thanks for visiting the shed tonight.
Leaon Mary xoxo

I love Christmas cards too! They seem to be a rarity these days.. Not to many send them out anymore with all the technology available.. Everyone seems to do ecards and the such.. Have fun filling out your cards.. Someone is going to be blessed! Blessings!

So, is that like a "scrapbook" of Christmas cards?
I confess, I don't send many cards out.
(Strangely, for years now, I instead send out notes/cards in RESPONSE to Christmas cards I receive....usually sit down the minute I receive one and write back in return).

Oh Lea, I too love deer and there seems a lot of décor items this year with stags and deer on like cushions and ornaments and cards. I got Tom an advent calendar and it was a woodland scene (chocolate in each pocket) we've had squirrels and foxes and only at day 5!! It cheers him up when he comes home from work. The red deer we have here are such gentle creatures. My cousin and I used to go walking near where she lives in England and we'd sit in the hide for ages just watching for the deer and even just stepping on a twig and making a slight sound was enough to scare them.
Sending BIG HUGS from a very blustery Scotland.
