This Heart Prepares Him Room....

Last night we went for a Christmas lights drive.
There were so many festive houses all lit up.
But what I find myself looking for is
....the star.
.... I can feel things changing inside.
While there's  excitement...
 and traditions... and memories of Christmas' past;
What I really want is
the
 real Christmas.

This morning during my devotional The Greatest Gift,
 I tied  two sticks together
with red ribbon in the shape of a cross.
Still in pj's and standing at  the edge of a sleeping garden, a branch
was broken
from the tulip tree.
This cross is now
tucked inside the advent cupboard.
 Right beside  "Immanuel"
Reminder that
My
God
is
with
me.

Just two more days until Christmas...
He's coming.

This post hit home for some reason, maybe that's my problem, looking for the real Christmas? I'm so far behind, lacking the excitment but gaining frustrasions over the way people behave and choose expensive gifts over time spent? Thank you chickie, I needed this! Love you and Merry Christmas!!!

Follow a star to a place unexpected and find a child in a manger...just a child! Who we've waited for!
From the cradle to the cross..our Savior!

Just wanted to wish you and your family a big dipper full of blessings, Lea! May you find your stocking full of all the gifts God gave you when He sent His Son to us on that quiet, starry night! It is a night for the Stars to shine!!!!!

Yes God is with us...and the gift he gave us of His son Jesus is a gift that lasts long after other gifts have faded and are forgotten.
