Preparing For Jesus Birthday Cakes... Baked In Jars

 Hi friends,
I know some of you are popping in looking for the recipe for Jesus Birthday cake baked in jars.  You can find the pumpkin spice recipe and directions for baking in the jars here.

I'll be making them again this year.  In fact a friend of mine was just hinting to me how much she enjoys getting one of these little cakes every year.  haha  It was cute; and I'm anxious  to take her another!
This year   I'll  be trying out  the new, vintage style blue ball jars.  I got them several months ago and have been saving them for this very special birthday!!!  If you've been looking for them, I've seen them at Target, Michaels and mine- came from Amazon.

The pictures of these other two jars are from former years...
A few weeks ago  I bought ...

-this nativity fabric thinking I'd use it for the jar tops.
Unfortunately, it really doesn't match as well as I'd like it to.
There's blues in this material but ... it just doesn't go with the pretty blue jars
like I wish it did.  I may be digging through my fabric stash and see if something
else looks better.  Also I forgot to get white candles. They're on my baking list!!    I kinda like the  plain white candles the best
but I've used colored ones before too.
Anyways, I'll share pictures of  the finished jars when I get all my baking done
before dropping them off to my friends and family.
I usually wait a little closer to Christmas
 Happy baking!

Hello girl! I am breaking back into the blog world and easing out of FB. I am thinking of completely retiring from my business and going full time "for me" Stepping out is never easy but time to walk on water. Hope this finds you well and ready for Christmas..... Love love love the cake in a jar thing..... Clever!
