Monday in Bloom

for early Fall.

 The flowers here are thriving
with cooler temperatures
and rain showers.

Sometimes I wish it could all just stay like this
just a little while longer.

One very welcomed change here is how
Gracie has been mellowing out since Bleu was born.
She hardly ever pins her ears anymore and  now whinnys when
she sees me.
Carrying a pocketful of range cakes
seems to have helped me win  her over.

About a month ago I noticed her tail was shorter.
At first I thought she might have gotten it hung up in a fence.
But since then I've seen Bleu chewing on it.
It's almost  half gone now!

 When  we worked in the woods yesterday afternoon;
we found this skull  beneath  a tree.
We're not sure what it is... coyote?  Fox?  Maybe even a dog?
It looks too big to be a possum.
Usually I find feathers, turtle shells, birdnests, even vintage bottles and jars.
Never a skull before.

It was so enjoyable walking our fencelines and .Fall is the best time of all
to go hiking around here, but already the guns have started blasting.
Our place is posted but still; you just never know.
I'll be glad when it's all over and safer to get out in nature again.

Your colours are amazing Lea, I hope they do last a while for you to enjoy. The sun is shining here and showing off the autumn colours of nature. As long as the wind doesn't get up, the leaves will gently float down in shades of gold and rust. Blessings Jx

Hi guys! --Jeanie I hope you're enjoying a beautiful Autumn in Scotland! Thankyou Debra!!! Roxie I love that your tub runneth over... and I love all the ideas you have for your cottage! Beware dear Sue... we got ate up by chiggers on Sunday... they're still out! Didn't get into seed ticks but those blasted chiggers are evil.

Such a beautiful time of year ---- especially when the flowers linger like that! I'm watching leaves falling, or turning brown, and the temps are a little lower, but there are still mosquitos, etc. Your pictures are so lovely ---- look at them again when everything is covered in a blanket of snow!!!
