Gifts To Savor... A Few Random Blessings

 A few random blessings...

I'm thankful for this new day and
the clean slate
a friend wrote me about
with brand new beginnings.

....to be content....
and have this joy inside.

... for my family
...friends
and  new ones I haven't met ...yet.

For getting to see unusual things
like a pair of  donkeys;
 joined
right at
at the neck-
feeding
"twogether."

... for hearing God speak in such
unique way connecting even more
dots??.. on this journey.

Even turquoise pokee dots.
 "Little wren"
is a gal who came to Be in my
"Well Bless Your Little Art" journal.
The words little wren jumped out at me in an olde book of  ephemera.
With Ole Percy's (my deceased guineas) feathers for WINGS the name
Little wren did seem  to fit.  I didn't think about it much but as I continued
in these two pages ... I wasn't real happy how they were turning out?
But I  kept finding  HOPE though and moved on.
Before turning out my light and closing the journal; God brought me to
 Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not
faint.

This morning; with a fresh cup of coffee,
I sat down at the table to read my bible and spend time
with the Lord.  From outdoors; I started hearing a birdsong.
I kept on a  reading ....
... and it kept on a  singing-
The same short
but sweet
little tune.
It was almost as if it was singing for attention.
- To get "my" attention???
I opened my notebook and wrote about it
and then began timing it.
There were only four seconds between each song.
Finally I had to see if by some chance I could see this
singing bird.  Opening the blinds on my craft room door I discovered
a LITTLE WREN
perched right on the old washtub.
We looked right into eachother and
it stayed just long enough for all of this to really register
thee   "Oh My Gosh moment!!!!"
...Little wren!!!!!!
(and more Hope is growing.)
... It was a very sweet little moment
I don't ever want to forget.

...I don't see wrens very often here!!!
This one has been on my sidebar a long time now, and
it  reminds me to keep looking uP.
What a blessed little gift ...all of  this was to my little heART today.
I'm very grateful.

... For all the gifts I get to see
hear, and feel everyday.
All moments of blessings to... savor.

Like the  beautiful all day rain we just had...
and the clean scent that rose with  the following sunshine.

Like the baby who kept smiling at me in line
at the checkout.
Such a contagious  smile!
Thank you Lord... I savor that sweet babysmile today.
Such a gift to hold onto.

... these herbs too and the genuine kindness
of Mrs. Yang as she held them out to me while I took her picture.
Gifts from her heart
grown, and picked
and held out
in her hands... for me.

this lesson in giving and sharing
it's  another I savor
and give thanks.

.... for her invitation to enter  her greenhouse of
open air.
It was a delightful  treat to see sugarcane, and plants I've never even
imagined growing and spilling out  right here.

For... how although she and I have  abit of a language barrier...
our souls seem to connect
right at the root.

...For  anticipation of  a much needed family date night
with  our grown kids this weekend.

...and for the telephone repair man who came out and fixed our line
troubleshooting a large issue and then
came back to our house and made  sure everything
was as it should be.
I'm so thankful.

... That because he fixed this problem our internet
 now works way better
too!

For this love offering
from one of our  egg customers.
She saves cartons for me and
filled and returned  this box with not eggshells but
baby gourdys.
They're so cute and such
big- little blessings.

For the affirmation I got too through a dipper gourd she sent.
It's so pretty and I love how she burned
a fleur del lis  and vine right into it!!
What a special surprise...one that  holds
 special meaning to me.
--affirmation.

Thank you Lord for all these things and so much more.
Thank you for my every
thing.
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

Lea, I couldn't believe it when I opened your blog this morning and saw the pic of these beauuuutiful donkeys, those dear hearts, I love them! Your little wren singing was amazing 'God timing' and your heart must have been singing, it is so wonderful, these special times. My dad made a window box with sandstone, he carved it out and planted it with pansies and one morning he opened the blind and there was a little wren perched on the very stem of one of the pansies. I always remember it. Thank you for sharing your blessings. Jx
