A Few More Random Blessed Moments... Thank You Lord

Counting a few blessings this day:

I'm thankful today for some needed pruning....

For this life... and all the many gifts in it.
-- People mostly... may I not take them so for granted.

-- for the gift of life- "blood"
and the 4 donors who "gave" to him.

for his hope
to be healed and well again.

and that his beloved
was by his side.

for this olde homeplace-
a place to just "be."

 for wisdom ....
and guidance to

 open the door
of my heart.
And keep it more open.
 For advice from my mentor/friend....
and how it keeps playing out...
into "faithing" my walk.
Open handed.
Redeeming the time.
 For correction....
Like a spirited colt who wants to run, bite,
and kick ... to   trainable...
For --the sweet in broken-ness ...
Of that ...willing to be willing.
A "want to"... to "follow"
May I too have a teachable heart.
To find the flower in the wild...
the sweet in the bitterweed.
For more love all around me....
and loving "more" too

For the simple...
and joy in mundane...
that puts the extra in ordinary... again. and again..
and again....
For the sweeping out of dusty cobwebs...
on more than just barn doors and
window shutters; but... in shabby olde souls too.
 Discovering hidden blooms
and having something
to sing about.

 Like a coleus
re-born.
 A fairy flower
popping peonies.....
 a birdhouse gourd...
growing fat under the washtub....
 and forgotten shoes...
parked ... yet taking
several baby
steps.
For bunnies with a sweet tooth...
for crab apples..

 and squirrels named Marigold.
 Visits that bring childhood home...
and remind me to play....
 For dreamy summer nights....

and  the chorus of croaking from On Dragonfly Pond....
With blossoms white; dancing in starlight,
For more chasing after moths in moonflowers..

 for catching... and the releasing
of it all....

So much wonder
in this beautiful messy world.

 For the friendly  biker waves....
and the grasping of really loving our neighbors.

... Reminder that our  "status" and
worldly standards and measure
...really don't  matter at all....

For promptings of the Holy Spirit,
and courage to not question ... but
to go....
to just follow
through.
For my sweetheart... kids....and  so much laughter...
and joys.

And for these two arms to hug and hold them ....
until they let go first.

 For this piece of shade...
Harmony in this place...
and
to be sheltered
under His wings.
 For cuddling...
and loyalty...

 And for this olde shed.
And new friend dots connected.
Thank you Lord for all these things and so much more.
Thank you for my everything......

Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

Lea, you have calmed my mind after a tense kind of day. Reading through this post was so relaxing and I am grateful. Did I spot two donkeys pulling a beautiful caravan? oh how sweet, I love them and the stone with the moss growing beside the coleus, the moonflowers, everything. You are a blessing my friend.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh...this "beautiful messy world"! How you've captured it. Expressed it. You bring so much beauty into the messiness, Lea. May Jesus continue to "dwell in your heart by faith" and shine out of you purely and sweetly -- just as He has done in the words of this post. ♥

Lea . . . seldom have I read a post that expresses such depth of throught, such wisdom and such beauty. Through your words, God's words and photos of God's world, you have conveyed such an important message. Thank you so much . . . you have no idea how powerful your message is and how many people you have reached. - Marcia

I'm glad I waited til tonight to read this, because it's NOW that I needed it most. To sum it all up in a word, it's PEACE!!! Peace in the midst of the storm in my soul and a calm to churning thoughts! Thank you, Lea!!!!!
