No Place Like Home....

Home again, home again, jiggity jig!
-- Isn't it funny how wonderful it is to just "get away from it all" sometimes?
To celebrate our 30th anniversary this month, Myguy and I have been saving and saving for a long romantic get away.  I think it was 17 or 18 days off!  Usually we take some vacation days around Thanksgiving and Christmas but since it was a special anniversary we worked straight through the  holidays and kept right on saving coins in the big vintage pickle jar.  Our main destination was ....

this amazing log  cabin near Cooke City, Montana.
It was absolute bliss. Just me n Myguy!  No cell service... no wifi... and get this... no television!
It was so incredibly quiet... especially with the thick blanket of winter snow!  We heated with wood in the fireplace;  cooked big breakfasts together... and dined by candlelight.  I'll share more photos in the next posts but wanted yall to know I'm back and apologize if  I've owed you an email.  I'm wading through my inbox now!

I have so much to share... we went through 9 states and put on around 4,000 miles.   Our eyes saw... the most amazing things... met interesting people... and it was a time I hope I never forget.... and yet you can't imagine how good it is to be home.  By day 4... I was missin the kids... -Francois and Addiedoo  so much already.   Oh how  love my family, friends  and  good ole Arkansas!

I'll try to take photos this evening of some of the treasures we brought back as well.
We stopped at a couple really good antique shoppes and also thee coolest "artsy" store in Fort Collins Colorado.

Gotta jet for now.  I took the dogs to the groomers to get SHAVED this morning, so I have to go pick them up.  They were shedding so bad!  Think I could stuff a mattress with Addies coat.  I also have a dentist appt this afternoon- ... can't wait til that's over with!

Hope yall have a great day!
Holykisses from the shed!
