Morning Glory At The Potting Shed

Morning drizzle makes for wild hair and giddyhappy  morning glorys.
A  traipse around the garden and back with drizzled bedhead, and sporting jammies n cowboy boots is something that needs to NOT  be ever captured  on film. Still; my  jaunt to the red tip photinia and back was quite worth the risk of bumping into another human being.

The shabby olde potting shed beckons to be cleaned and swept inside.
The trash can overflows with old  seed packets, plastic flower pots and bird seed bags onto
the floor.
I noticed the country mouse family chewed their way into the blandex board that covered the olde double wash bin and have been dining on what  remained  of a wild bird seed mix:
...Candy to them.

Back outdoors, the red lilies were so vibrant  this year.
...The morning glories are everywhere now and ... love September.
I do hope they'll  love October even more.
This one is extra special.
You know who you are
Dontchya lil Texas!    :)

It's so hard to go inside,
when morning glories
awaken...
arise.
Some will even greet you
with good mail.
Not bills.

Baby lettuces enjoy drizzle too.
I must tell Brussel Sprout and Mrs. Potter
that soon... very soon
fresh salad will be
on their menu.

I'd  ask ya to come sit a spell,
but then your britches would get wet and we'd
smoosh what's left of these flowers.  Not to mention you'd
catch me in my morning get up.  Ha!

So until we meet again.......
Holykisses from the shed.   xoxo

I have to say, I too, love seeing my MORNING GLORIES in the morning~~ Going out on my porch and see their smiling faces everywhere! Isn't there just something about that morning time when no one is around that feeds the little girl in us, an intimate moment with our heavenly father who is watching over us and smiling at our silly enjoyments of his garden and earth~~~And I have to say~~your GARDEN ANTIQUE BEDS are PRECIOUS as well as your PORCH! It's the SIMPLE things in LIFE that makes LIFE BEAUTIFUL! From one sweetie to another~~~~Roxie

Oh how I miss the flowers. When we had a house I always planted a lot of different flowers in the area just under the living room window. We had azaleas around the front of the house next to the brick and flowers in front of them.

One year my dh dug up an area to the left and sorta in the middle
across from the front walk way.
We had Apply trees and peach trees.
Those were his favorite.

Those were the days when I was younger and could do more than I can now.

Loved your morning walk, AE

Lea, I got a bit wet this morning when Fergus and I went out for our walk but came back, got dried off, made a coffee and sat down to your blog. Oh...sweet relaxation. I am loving it...I could just be there enjoying the garden in its morning splendour. Its soooo Beatrix Potter with the wee mice family & lettuce coming up for the buns. I love my visits to the potting shed.Thank you dearest for sharing you've made my day.
