Mother's Day Photos

Greetings and Holykisses!
Just a quick note to share a few pictures with yall.
Tony had to work today, so he and Michelle actually
came yesterday.   But I enjoyed their visit soooo much.
We get to missin them so much sometimes.  Grabbin some rope and holding
them hostage has crossed my mind a time or two.

Thankfully, Trent doesn't live very far away.
And he came just as we were lighting the grill.
(grin)
That was on purpose. haha
You see; Trento's king of the grill around here.
 Our menu consisted of:
Hamburgs, hotdogs, Corky's bbq ribs,
grilled taters and corn, baked beans, my AngelMother's potato salad,
watermelon and smores.
Ohmyword.*
My  favorite thing was the corn, and.... ribs.
I swear Corky's ribs could turn a vegetarian into a meat eater.
The roosters favorite thing was definitely
the watermelon.
They pecked her clean!
Our little broody hen hatched another mess out in the  watercan today.
15 baby chicklets born
on Mother's day!

After Trent headed home, Myguy and I went out back and started working on...
....you should probably sit down for this coz some of you will be shocked--
a DOOR for
the shabby olde potting shed!
Yes
way
Jose!
Yes, I'm not kiddin-
For real!!!
I've been googling images of barn doors and since the potting shed is so crooked
and odd shaped; a door really needed to be custom made.
I'm actually happy about that because it will mean all
the more to me that Myguy made it.

After he finished the door, he then started on.......
shutters for the potting shed,
as well as the shed at
the happy place.
(happy-sigh!)

I asked him to pinch me once while we were cutting boards and painting  coz I really thought I had to be dreaming about it all.
I love it so much and have wanted a real door  for over a decade.
Home made shutters too is like whip cream on someon's strawberry banana cake.

If you're interested- stay tuned and I'll take a few
pictures in the light tomorrow.
Oh what a day!

Sounds like "your day" was near PERfect!

I'll def. stayed tuned to see that door and shutters! (A few years ago, we fashioned shutters for our shed from louvered panels we picked up somewhere....I like 'em!)
