Gratitudes 31

Greetings and holykisses,

Today's list of random blessings:

I'm thankful today that although one of our loved ones was hospitalized briefly- ..she's okay.
-Our prayers were answered!
Thank you Father.

I'm thankful for my family and friends.

I'm thankful God has redeemed my messes,
and can fix anything.
-How he picks up my broken pieces and puts them somehow
together... for my good and His glory.

 For "Brussel Sprouts"
Mrs. Potters new friend.

For the colorful  blooms all around me.
Every day I'm more amazed!
I love flowers... and that I get to see so many just completely
thrills me.  Wildflowers of these pink poppies, and red clover
have been positively littering the ditches along our highways leaving me
awestruck.  Honeysuckle is so heavy in the air... and the roses have never
smelled so sweet- I'm sure of it!  The hydrangeas are now gracing vintage
creamers and blue mason jars and the tiger lilies are standing so tall and ready to pop any second.
Flowers are truly my glimpse into heaven... and I just thank God for creating such beauty
and giving me eyes to see it.

I'm thankful for a new closet...
 outdoors.
Morning glories are planted across the front; so hopefully soon
it will be hidden.
A quiet place to
"just be."
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."  Matthew 6:6
 I'm thankful for memories.
While mowing the other day, I kept noticing this concrete slab
we poured a few years back to get the mowers into a shed.
I remember us writing our names and initials.
--Our boys'  handprints were  so small.
Thank you LORD for sweet memories,
and for writing our names in Your book of life!

I'm thankful Addie's lil nose healed.
She came in the house recently with this  chunk just gone out of her smeller.
At first we worried she got snake bit, but it never swelled and she didn't get sick.
Anyways, she's all healed up now  and I see a heart every time I look at her face.
My lil sweet heart
 friend.
For the time I've been enjoying up at my Momma's old homeplace.
It's been soothing planting the little postage stamp garden as I call it there and
tending to it.
Myguy installed a water spigot on the outside of the well
house for me so it's so easy to use and free to water now!
It just feels good  being there.
The magnolia tree she planted is blooming and yesterday I held one of the huge
waxy blossoms in my hand.  They almost ...don't feel real.
But they are... and
I'm thankful.

I'm thankful Peter CottonTail (who I found mowing last week,) is still alive and
yesterday I caught a glimpse of it when I fired up the tiller.  He went flying around the side
of the potting shed as if he thought I were Mr. McGregor and had shouted, "Stop Thief!"
Had he forgotten his way back to the gate and lost one of his shoes among the sweet peas,
and the other amongst the yarrow?  Good thing he didn't get caught by the large buttons on his
blue jacket.  A blue jacket with brass buttons quite new.
(grin)
I love having lots of bunnies around
and this one is a super sweet gift in my garden.
He really doesn't nibble  that much, and
I hope he stays.

I'm thankful for this one little pecan seed
that reminds me of HOPE.  .
I carried this nut around in my pocket every day for a solid week.
Don't worry; of course I changed clothes.  But every evening, when I'd get undressed,
I'd find the nut still in my pocket.  I'd put it on the dresser, and then come morning, I'd see it
and think, "I have got to plant that pecan."  Back in my pocket it would go.
Now it's in this dish
and so I said, "Smile you Nut and say cheese!"
I'm  going to plant it somewhere special.
Because this nut has hope!!
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

I'm thankful for a simple life,
with many JOYS.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13

I missed this post somehow???? Where was I???? And such a good one, too. I loved your pecan and what it meant to you. I've been dwelling on that word, hope, for some time now. I can't help but look at any seed and think that it is so full of hope --- a sure hope that already knows that the end will be and what it looks like, because our Lord told us. We live in hope, because the eyes of our hearts can already see what is in store for us! So plant that pecan, Lea. Hope sees. Faith plants. Joy reaps!
