Gratitudes 29 Faith Like A Potting Shed Mouse?

Greetings and Holykisses,

Week 29's Random Blessings

I'm thankful today for truth...
God's truth that erases every stinkin lie the enemy tries to
make me believe.

For my husband and sons...
and the family night we enjoyed at Golden Corral last week.
Even the boys' girlfriends came and I so enJOYed
our time all together!

I'm thankful for the added female companionship breaking bread
together around that table. -- To have someone to wink at or nod with
when the conversation goes down the mechanical roads of EGR delete
kits, ECM reprogramming, ball joints, and buzz testing injectors??
That nod and smile among us women that understands that while we
deeply appreciate "our"guys
mechanical abilities-... "her" new grey purse for
12.00bucks ... now that was "a really good deal!"
:)
I've really missed that.
And I'm thankful for
every soul around that table.

I'm thankful that most of the seeds are up in the gardens!
-And I love tending them every day.
New growth.
Which is the very thing I ask God to do in me.

I'm thankful for the funny mouse who was trapped
in the side of the double washtub that birdseed is kept.
I lifted the wooden lid, and
This mouse looked up at me all upset... and scared.
It kinda ran back and forth not knowing where to hide.
(Wish I'd had my camera.)
I grabbed a very long stick and set it down into the seed.
About a foot and a half of the stick stuck back out of the washtub and was
kind of above the olde possum belly cupboard.
This mouse jumped on the stick and began running up the stick.
When it got to the end it stopped,
but only for a second.
Then it was as if it grew wings and
took this giant leap
of FAITH.
It landed on the possum belly and
disappeared into the ivy growing inside
the potting shed.
Isn't that just like God to show
me faith like a potting shed mouse?
Thanks Lord.
:) still smiling!

I'm thankful for blOOmin peonies- so fragrant,
and daydreams of heaven.

Hope and encouragement from a friend that one day
we "will" win over the bamboo that I
regretfully planted a few years back.

.. For my mentor who
always inspires and points me
to Jesus Christ.

To be learning to not only give grace to others, but
also ...give grace to myself
and ...to just keep going!
--No matter what's happened, or how things look:
God's bigger!!!

For books, studies and podcasts that bless my heart, and encourage!
My favorite podcast downloads?...
Midday Connection!
Thank you Lord!

For the 1 snowball bloom that grew through a crack
in the shed wall and .....still lingers above the potters bench!!!!!!!!!!!
(photo above)
--Again... I'm thankful!
Such gifts God's given me.

For the delightful birdsongs I've been hearing.--
And the newborns chirping in the ivy.
Glorious music!

For kisses ontop of my head.
I am blessed.

Thank you Lord for all these things and so very much more.

It's ALL beautiful and grace, Lea - except for the mouse! I just can NOT get excited about it no matter how many spiritual lessons one can gather from the experience!

HI Lea :) :)

I just loved reading your list. I've had a bit of a rough day today...and you really made me smile. That and you've encouraged me to sit down and write my own list and be diligent about it, every day :) :)

Hmmm....we were talking about grace, faith etc in our women's Bible study last Tuesday morning and what it means to extend grace. Well, it's giving up our right for the sake of Love (Christ) :) :) Thanks for the reminder that I need to extend it to myself as well as others :) :)

Extra love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :) :) :)

I'll trade you my lizzard for that mouse with the wings of faith!!!! Isn't that just the cutest thing???? Although, I must say, I'd probably be screaming my head off from the top of a table. I always love your lists, Lea! Just so beautiful. And I wish I was in that girly group at Golden Corral!

Lea, what a lovely blog post.
Reminds me of the story of Timmy Tiptoes who couldn't get out of the tree trunk.
You brighten our days so much.

Blessings.

Great "thank you's". You asked how I was doing. I'm scheduled for an MRI on my back May 4th and possibly another surgery. My dh has had a lot of problems since June of last year but God is good to him and keeps him going. He's never had many problems and sometimes he gets frustrated and I think a little scared but we just pray and God always answers our prayers.

Hi, Lea - great post! I love the little mouse story. The mice don't scare me - it's just they jump out or up or away that surprises you- and then you squeal!

I know what you mean about having the girls come eat with ya'll. I do have a daughter, but she's still in school, so I love when my boys have their "others" with them. Just takes that sometimes "crass" edge off things, doesn't it???

Hope you're having a great week! (my hens are settling down a bit now... )

I also would have let the mouse go...it is good to bestow some of our blessing we receive to someone or something else.:)
