Gratitudes 22

Greetings and Holykisses,

It's Thursday... and time to just stop- and count my blessings.

Random Blessings

1. For my overall good health- something I began to appreciate a little more this week after winding up with a stomach flu.

2. For a reminder from Thessalonians - That in every thing I am to give thanks.
"In every thing give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
1 Thessalonians 5:18
As much as I wish I could say I really get this, ... I haven't. It's been hard for me to see how people can still thank God when everything around them goes wrong. But I'm realizing it doesn't say be thankful for the bad thing, but rather to just be thankful while you're actually "in" the every thing. It's always been easy for me to just focus on the bad thing. But being thankful puts the focus I want to have back on God and not my circumstance.
This is a lesson I hope to put into practice more.
To give thanks in my every thing.

3. For reminders in the friendships I've been gifted with over the years.
True treasures!

4. For my friend who blew me dragonfly kisses, and even made me a surprise apron.
Browns n turquoise no less~!
I'm gonna feel like such a sassy chick sporting a new apron.
--I have to laugh as I remember a bible study my sister, Angel Mother and I had one day in the middle of the morning glories in the garden. We all wore aprons around the card table and our aprons kinda symbolized "girding up our loins." Girls who love aprons will find any excuse to wear one won't she? I should prolly delete my rabbit trail but its a sweet memory I'll forever cherish.
Anyways, I'm thankful for this friend who used the talent God gave her
to bless me!!!!!!!!!!!

5. For my cheerful Honey.
I'm so thankful for his good nature and compassion and gentleness toward me and others.
He was so sweet to me this week.
When I crawled in bed; I discovered he'd snuck in and turned on the heating pad. I'd pull down the covers and find it there on my side of the bed. It would be all covered up with the blankets so it was all toasty when I got in. Talk about pampering! He prayed for me several times, helped out with some of the outdoor chores, listened to some middle of the night whinin, and rubbed my back til the cows came home. Is that some lovin or what?! I'm so very blessed.

6. My Strongheart. I think this guy would give anyone the shirt off his back. Whosoever compels thee to go a mile, ... my Strongheart will go with them twain."
Such a loving son with the patience of Job.
And I'm thankful for him.

7. Another random blessing is of course; my Musicman and the good news text I got from him saying, "Oh I'm sure I'll be home for Christmas." -- ;)
YIPPY!!! God willing we'll all be together
for Christmas! I'm so excited!

8. Prayers from friends.
Friends who drop you an email that's a prayer they just lifted up... for you.
And those friends who say, "You've been on my heart. I've been praying for you. Man; what a blessing!!!

9. Being called someone's other daughter.
:)
I still have Godbumps.

10. The Momma hen and her 9 lil baby chicklets!
They survived their first night out of the watercan and seem to be
doing really well!

11. Our farewell to Brother John as bittersweet as it was. Some of you might remember our bull got snakebit twice this summer and almost died. The vet told us his extreme high fever could make him sterile and we found out today it did. We had to part ways at the salebarn tonight.
We also took a 3 year old heifer to the vet at the same time today. She's never had a calf and Myguy had her preg tested and was ready to haul her to the salebarn as well. On a brighter note we found out she's in her 3rd trimester so we brought her back home and should have another calf before long. Another Little Brother John or Sister Jane.
Again... we're thankful!

12. For getting projects finished this week that I can't show you yet because they're shhhh "surprises."

13. -For the journal page above that came back to me all over again this week.
We never know the worth of water until the well is dry.

14. And for company on Dragonfly Pond! Real visitors! Looking out the window two days ago, I could see something with Hairdoo out on the pond. Grabbing the binoculars, I discovered he had two new friends! They spent the night and have been there all day today. I really need to go put some scratch grain out for them but I'm afraid they'll get scared of me and fly away. Imagine how happy Hairdoo must be to not be alone! I hope you can see them in the photo. Hairdoo is the duck in the middle. -- It's so heartwarming to me!

Thanks for joining me at the Shed today!

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever! 1 Chronicles 16:34
