Gratitudes 20

Greetings and Holykisses,

It's Thursday; time to take a moment and jot down a few random blessings.

Gratitudes:

1. For God's word posted on church signs. Sometimes they grab me so much I nearly break my olde neck trying to read them as I go by. lol One in particular caught my attention this week. - Can't remember the correct translation but it was Psalm 45:1. I was worried I'd forget the chapter 45 but I remembered thinking: "hey that's easy; it's the number I tend to consider middle-aged." lol Middle aged or not; - I love the scripture!--

My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Psalm 45:1

2. My Sil Jacki who gave me the shabby olde typewriter pictured above.
It's locked up and doesn't work but she thought I might like to "plant it!" (grin) I think of her everytime I see it and am grateful for all my sisters. Although I think the typewriter is too pretty to leave out in the garden still; you'll probably be seeing more of it sharing God's word. Thank you Lord for sisters. For old tyepwriters too!
(Feel free to grab the photo if you like.)

3. For more lessons in ... growing- and the way it's getting downright wild! Not only have friends
been mentioning growing in Christ, but the word keeps mentioning it to me, as well as my bible study book When Wallflowers Dance.

4. For Tony and Michelle ... and the "rock" they bought me. Mind you' they don't know
anything about the "growing" stuff. But guess what? The rock has a dragonfly on it and says of all things:
PLEASE GROW.
(No I'm not kiddin!)
Thanks God.

5. For my friend in the nursing home who's smiling again.

6. Thirsty for Jesus Sisterchicks who encourage me to pick up the pace and run to win the prize.

7. A lesson to become more deliberate and intentional with things that matter most in my life.

8. Grown kidlets who want M&M cookies. ;)

9. Dogs that cuddle.

10. A fresh, full pot of Thanksgiving blend. --And the right amount of creamer and Splenda.

11. Getting to soul journal beneath twinkle lights.

12. Do overs.

13. A reminder from my Brother Stephen to forgive .

14. Self-control around the rest of the M&M cookies. I've enjoyed a couple of them but God's really teaching me and helping me to practice self control.
(and we're talkin M&M's people!) For those of you who don't know... those things used to have a hold over me. I'd even hide those great big bags in my purse and other places in the house so I didn't have to share. They were like a drug to me. --so We're talkin real victory here! Thank you Lord!

I could go on but Myguy will be here shortly.... time for just one more.
15. A Scottish chicklet who in such a darling way calls bean soup: Lentil soup and little: "wee."
Thanks God for crossing her path with mine. I'm so blessed.

Holykisses everyone!
I'm thanking God for each and every one of you!
Lea

Lea,

You made me laugh when I read about the M&Ms, that is so cute. At least if a cop pulled you over, you wouldn't get a violation for stashing M&Ms in your purse, or driving under the influence of M&Ms.

I'm thankful for the laughter you bring to my heart.

God bless you friend,
Michele

I love the old typewriter. I remember so many years ago hearing my mother type away on one just like that (my age shows, huh?) as she would type my father's doctoral thesis for seminary school! Not one mistake on any page---my precious mother is my number one example of a Godly wife! Devotion all the way!

Love to read your "gratitude" list! You are blessed and in turn bless those of us whose lives you have touched, even at a distance!

Hugs, and Thanksgiving blessings to you and your family. Psalm 100
Love, Heidi
