Finding Stars

Greetings and Holykisses,

Hi Yall,

I'm waiting for Myguy to finish up at the Shop so we can go grab a burger together.
Hope he didn't have a hankerin for a home cooked meal tonight because somehow it didn't happen. Do you have nights like that too? -It's possible; the mouth watering thought of Sonic onion rings mighta had a little somethin to do with it?

Anyhow I wanted to show yall the "stars" I found at the Thrift Shoppe.
Not one but two!
-- I kinda have a "thing" for stars. Maybe it's coz I am one; ...well in name anyways!

My biggest love for them is at Christmas time. Myguy crawls up on our roof and attaches his home made star that he welded together out of rebar. He wraps it in lights and it's something I just look so forward to every year!!! I really hate for him to take it down after the holidays. I once told him that I wish we could leave all the lights up year round but he tells me they wouldn't be so special then. He's probably right.

That said; I've been seeing barn stars at the farm stores and have been dreaming of one. When I finally decided to go get one... the ones and sizes I liked were gone.
So then I looked on Ebay. By the time you pay shipping... they're kinda high so I passed it up-- again.

Last week I stopped at the Thrift shop.
Imagine my surprise to see not one but two stars layin on a shelf side by side.
They're even the colors I like! Barn red and robins egg blue.
Both stickers were for $1.00 each.
SOLD to shabby olde Star woman. (Writing that gave me a huge chuckle coz I just realized the guys at work call Myguy "StarMan.")

The red *star now hangs in our living room.
The blue *star... - my craft room.
Every time I look at them I smile!

James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

It's time for those onion rings!

I like your stars especially the red one. I have burgundy stars as decor in my kitchen, a lamp, a rug at the sink and a set of 12 dishes.
I have enjoyed them so much. Don't use the plates much with just the two of us but we will use them for Thanksgiving.
Blessings, AE

Aloha StarWoman! I love it:-) what a great finds. God is so good at providing. The texture on the red star is really pretty.
Matthew 7:11
King James Version (KJV)
"If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"
Not saying your evil far from it, I just love this scripture because even though we fall he still blesses us so abundantly!! Praise you Heavenly Father.
ALOHA!!!!

Lea, I'm happy for you! (I agree about shipping being expensive & really adding to cost of ebay items...)

Yes, I believe even THESE thrift store surprises are orchestrated by a loving Father.

Enjoy!

I love those kinds of stars too. They can get very pricey. I know that whenever I find something like that - it is a God thing!! Who else could they have been for?? lol Perfect.
