Friday Morn

Greetings and Holykisses,

Coffee's on and I think there's half a pot left if you want some! ;)
I woke up so early this morning- just rearing to get the day going!
Got my reading and lesson done, some laundry and now it's time for chores.

I faced my little giant to show yall where the banties have started laying eggs: the olde watercan! Just so ya know; I had to take the broom in that pen with me to take the picture of the eggs. I've told ya before how mean that rooster has become? He's practically evil I swear. If he wasn't the only Quail Antwerp Belgian rooster we have... well I'd be tempted to leave him out for the coyotes. He jumps me every chance he gets- unless I have the broom. He has full understanding of what the broom can do now. It's kinda like playing badmitten and ...he's the live birdie.*

Have yall realized today's the last day of September?
Was it not just yesterday we were all sayin, "Finally September is here!" Well; where did it go in such a hurry? This month just flew by!

Last night Myguy crawled under our house and began bracing up the far corner where our living room floor had fallen a little. He worked so hard under there- I felt sorry for him. He had to drag 6 concrete blocks while he crawled to the back wall. Also he had to take boards, and tools and did it all crawling on his belly in the dirt. Today I'm picking up some foam spray and he's gonna fill in any new cracks around water pipes and back by our chimney especially. This past week our dogs have kept going behind the woodstove and sniffing around the base of the chimney and I've noticed a pretty large crack where the floor settled there. I know three dogs are not imagining things if ya know what I mean. (Oh be careful dear husband!) Last night he put bright lights under there and watched to make sure there were no snakes or skunks. Ya never know!? I found a big black snake in one of the bottom kitchen cupboards about 3 years ago. I think I came close to a heart attack, and I've never been the same since.* See why my wonderful husband is making sure any new holes or cracks haven't developed under the house?!!!

This afternoon Mrs. Potter our honeybunny is moving to the barn. It will be a lot warmer for her there in cold weather. She's also looking for a husband so if any of you live in my neck of the woods and know of any buck rabbits give me a buzz!

Have a great day everyone!
And in that day you will say:

“ Praise the LORD, call upon His name;
Declare His deeds among the peoples,
Make mention that His name is exalted. Isaiah 12:4

I agree. Where HAS September gone???

Sounds like there's been a lot of activity around the Shabby Olde Potting Shed. Those maintenance tasks are SO important - particularly in preparation for winter.

I don't know ANYTHING about roosters, so won't comment...but my, those eggs are pretty!

Have a good weekend, Lea, and "May HIS name be lifted high forever!"

It's been the nicest September I can remember here, hoping October is more of the same!! How on earth did they lay eggs in the watering can? lol I don't blame you for being careful, I had a black snake in our old house once, I corned it in a closet till hubby got home! lol

It is hard to believe that September is gone, but October is my favorite month.
I shuddered when I read of the black snake in your cabinet. I would never be the same again either.
What a good husband you have, making you feel safe again.
