Beads Abiding

Greetings and Holykisses,

Just as the Sisterchicks and I were settling in around the table last night; came the startling sound of glass beads hitting the floor. Before I even glanced at my wrist, I had the sinking feeling that it was one of my bracelets-- and it was. :( I'd been wearing two of my very favorites on my right wrist for days. (The one that broke was the very first button bracelet I ever made.) I loved the chinkeling sound they made together so much and it reminded me of the chinkeling that my Angel Mother's charm bracelet used to make when she praised the Lord at church. I know "chinkeling" is probably not a real word. But if it's not; it should be. Because if you've ever worn a loaded charm bracelet before- then you know what it sounds like .

Anyways, looking down; beads were still bouncing around the floor. We found most of them; -thankfully even the carved abalone pearl button! I hope to rewire it later.

- Now this morning in the Word, ... God brought me to 2 Corinthians. I kept seeing the visual of my bracelet. Do you ever feel like you're just being stretched and pulled too far, and you start thinkin you just can't do this anymore? How about that thing God's called you to do, but you think "It's just too hard!"

What if I come undone?
What if I just fall apart in front of everyone?

Here's the other bracelet I was wearing.
Ya know; I really expected when I heard beads falling to the floor; that more than likely this was the one that broke. To me; the alphabet beads are of lesser quality. They're already losing paint in the letters and they're getting kinda worn and shabby. But even though I thought they are the weaker beads, God used them to remind me that He's my strength. When we're weak, He makes us strong!! We've just gotta stay in Him.

I'm a weak bead.
Strung.... in the vine.

Keep abiding,
In Him!!

To GOD be the glory.

So sorry about your bracelet, Lea! Is there a special way to string these buttons?????? I wanna know more about button bracelets!!!! Abiding! Do I see a word study in there somewhere???? Such a wonderful word, and it brings feelings of peace, strength, staying power, familiarity, "at home" feeling, and warmth. I really like that!!! Thank you for this today!
