Early Sunday

Greetings and holykisses,

Been finishing up the first week of Duty or Delight this morning before heading to church. -- And I still have yesterday's song in my head! Glad a couple of you also latched onto the part "heal the wound but leave the scar." The chorus just keeps singing in me. While really hearing it yesterday while I was working I kept thinking back to my life before I accepted Christ as my Savior and Lord. Our scars really do remind us of how merciful He is and what messes He will redeem. Some are very visible... while others may be deep in our minds or hearts.

Psalm 145 leaped off the page to me this morning.
"I will extol You, my God, O King;
And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
Every day I will bless You,
And I will praise Your name forever and ever.
Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised;
And His greatness is unsearchable.

One generation shall praise Your works to another,
And shall declare Your mighty acts.
I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty,
And on Your wondrous works.
Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts,
And I will declare Your greatness.
They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness,
And shall sing of Your righteousness.

The LORD is gracious and full of compassion,
Slow to anger and great in mercy.
The LORD is good to all,
And His tender mercies are over all His works.

All Your works shall praise You, O LORD,
And Your saints shall bless You.
They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom,
And talk of Your power,
To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts,
And the glorious majesty of His kingdom.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.

The LORD upholds all who fall,
And raises up all who are bowed down.
The eyes of all look expectantly to You,
And You give them their food in due season.
You open Your hand
And satisfy the desire of every living thing.

The LORD is righteous in all His ways,
Gracious in all His works.
The LORD is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.
He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He also will hear their cry and save them.
The LORD preserves all who love Him,
But all the wicked He will destroy.
My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD,
And all flesh shall bless His holy name
Forever and ever.

"The Lord upholds all who fall." --ever feel like you keep falling?
You just keep messing up? I know I do. To be aware today that He Upholds me... reminds me that when I do still fall, He's.... really there to catch me. He's slow to anger and great in mercy. And He's near to me when I call on Him in truth.

I will extol You, my God, O King;
And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
Every day; your daughter Leaon Mary will bless You.

Gotta get ready for church! (Can't wait to hear the message.)
Holykisses xoxo

HI Lea :) :)

What's "Duty or Delight"? When I read that I immediately thought of house chores. I make my bed in the morning - duty. It looks so pretty and the room is automatically more peaceful - delight :) :) :)

Thanks for the Scripture :) :) Have a lovely day at church. I'm really thankful God had our paths cross. Love and hugs to you and your family from Oregon, Heather :)

Lea, What a wonderful, wonderful Psalm--expressing the greatness of our God with such passion!

With such heart preparation, I think every pastor in the world would be envious of YOUR pastor! That "Can't wait to hear the sermon" is just why you will "hear" it and others won't!

I don't need to tell you to have an amazing day celebrating Jesus!
