Thankful To Be Back!

Greetings and Holykisses,

Hi Yall!
I'm squealing with delight because I have buttons again! Not cute sewing buttons this time but blogger buttons! Yall probably heard me this morning praying over my computer. It's been so frustrating because everything on my end of my blog has been totally out of whack. But I got on a different computer and it all seemed fine? -- I'm not questioning what the problem was anymore... just glad everything seems to be working again! Thankyou Lord!

So much has happened in the last week; I barely know where to start.
I take that back... I know exactly where to start: thanking God. I'm telling ya; seeing what we have this week, and how close the tornadoes were to our own little home sweet home, puts "life" in perspective. We should always live like there may not be a tomorrow.

I took a few pictures of some of the damage in our area but decided to only share this one as there are no people in this shot. (I wouldn't want to offend anyone.) Anyways; this was a typical site in the town of Clarksville. Lots of downed power lines, and trees down, roofs taken off and several homes literally wiped out. They said on the news that there were actually two tornadoes that hit Clarksville. -- But elec is coming back on for most people I think now and people are mostly just thanking God and trying to clean up.

Yesterday the sun finally started to shine again and I spent the day mowing and weed eating etc. I took a few pictures the morning of the tornado "day" as the night before that storm, we had another come through and it blew so hard, with more torrential rain and even hail. When I went out to the garden, our corn was layin down... and also the sunflowers. The tomatoes had broken stems and looked plumb pitiful. Knowing more severe weather was coming, I trimmed all the tomato plants and tied them up for support. I'm so glad I did. When I went out a while ago, I was amazed looking at our corn coz it's standing back up!- and everything looks really good inspite of what it's been through. I've so gotta take after pictures today to share here, as well as record in my garden journal. I also want to show you the garden chair I worked on last night. Myguy even came out and helped me when he saw me carrying the cirular saw and drill off to the potting shed. lol I'm not quite finished with it but hope to today! It needs some final touches and needs flowers! I started to put some sweet potato vine in it, but decided ... nope;... we need color in this one!

Hope to write more this afternoon/evening.
Have a blessed day everyone!

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 Cor: 5:1

Glad you're "here" - buttons and all. Storms like these kind of put things into perspective, don't they?

Hope your weekend calms down a little. (Ours is going to be very, very busy.)

Hallelujah.....I'm glad things are improving there and your electricity is back on. AND your blog buttons are back! God IS good. And your reminder that we need to put life into perspective is so spot on. It's going to take a while to be "back to normal" but it sounds like ya'll have made a good start. Your city (and the other tornado ravages areas) are in our prayers. :)

I've been happy about the testimonies I've seen on t.v.!! Most all thanking God...no blame, etc. Come see our skies :)

I think I have caught up with reading all your posts. Some I had already read and I think I commented on one. I am so thankful that you and your family are alright. I do pray for you when I hear about the storms.

When the tornado warning was over Champayne, Ill., my niece called to ask prayer for her son. He drives a big truck for Wal Mart and he was at an out of the way place in Ill. and called home. He's not a Christian (although he may be now) and he knew he needed his Mama to pray for him. He told her he had said his prayers. He has been on my mind for a while and have been praying for him. Sometimes when they have gotten so far in sin it's hard to reach them but I have a Heavenly Father that can get to his soul and I'm just praying He did. Our niece told him they were praying and that we were praying also and had been for quiet awhile. There are so many in our extended families that are not save and I pray for them all the time. God laid that on my heart several years ago and quiet a few have accepted Jesus, some before they died. To God be the glory.

God bless you and always keep you and your family safe, AE

So good to see you are okay and safe. I so pray for all of those people that have been effected. We got storms late evening and all night long that caused us to run for cover. 3 deaths here due to falling trees. God blessed us with safe keeping with just a small limb down on the driveway.

I will continue to keep you in my prayers for safe keeping and your garden will not get too much more damage.

God keep you safe.

OH, I'm glad your blog buttons are back. I know that whenever something h appens to my blog, it makes me a little sad...and sometimes frustrating, too :) :)

I'm glad you made it through all the storms. We haven't had any serious weather like that here. However, the other day, it just rained so hard out of the blue. There was thunder and even hail. The next day everything was calm. Today it's just gray and raining ;) :)

I can't wait to see a photo of your chair when it's finished ;) :) It sounds really cute already :) :) Have a lovely, blessed weekend. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)
