My Hope

Greetings and Holykisses!!

Morning everyone!
I just finished my lesson this morning and thought I'd share a scripture picture. I love that word "portion." The thought that "He's my portion!" He's my nourishment. I think I need to put that on the word study list. ;)
I'm still on the word "patience." A couple weeks ago, I bought a Strong's Concordance. It's like opening the word of God into whole new exciting insights.

The Believing God study I'm currently in; has been taking me down memory lane.
My teenage years were very turbulent and at one point, I decided I didn't even believe in God anymore. If there was a God, He must not care about someone like me. But even though I was turning my back on Him, ... I know He never turned His back on me. He was there all along. He protected me and made good come from any and all bad. He never forgets us!

"Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me." Isaiah 49: 15-16 Doesn't that just give you goosebumps!

Have a wonderful day everyone!
Holykisses xoxo

It struck me today as I read that verse on your post from Isaiah 49. I posted the same verse this week. Pastor preached on this verse. And a friend had reminded me of it earlier this week, saying he always thought of carvings of initials on trees. I think I'm supposed to be remembering this verse, yes???!!!????

Your picture and verse from Lamenatations was such a blessing, too, Lea. I really thought about it for a while. YOu know, I think I always focussed on the "portion" part of the sentence, when really, the subject and most important part is "The Lord." When the land was divided among the tribes, the tribe of Levi didn't get any as did the other 11. And to that priestly tribe, God made the promise that HE would be their portion. The other 11 got boundaries, they got earthly blessings, things that would pass away. The tribe of Levi got the Lord and all that He is, all that is eternal, no boundaries, grace upon grace. A wonderful study, Lea!!!

Thank you for making me think today. And thank you for sharing a little about yourself! Love you!!!!

I'm here, I'm here! Lea, do you have a new porch? :)
I'm sorry about your sweet goat. I love them too and sure would like to have one.
I'm glad your boy came home for a little reunion. I'm dreading the day when mine aren't here all the time.
Tell Merry Pearl I'd like to see her again.
Whoa...those rainstorms YIKES! I didn't think we'd see them end...although...it probably isn't over yet.
