WFW, ..... On The Eighth Day of Christmas

Greetings and Holykisses,

Happy Word Filled Wednesday!

"There was no room," is jumping out at me this morning in this scripture. When you read the Christmas story in the book of Luke, don't you imagine that holy night? -- With everything in me, I long to be able to say, that if Joseph had knocked at our "inn", ...I would have let them inside. .........Oh how I pray I would have.

Now fast-forward to this present day. It's December 8, 2010, and 17 days til Christmas. I'm pretty sure most of us have been "very busy." already. - I know, that I've been making lists, decorating, shopping, wrapping, packaging things and driving to the post office, ... baking, shopping some more, wrapping more, etc etc ... the list seems to go on and on and on. There are parties, get togethers, and church services to attend. There's often family, friends, and neighbors to visit. .....But once again four powerful words jump out at me.

there was
no
room.

These 4 words are reminding me today that each and *every* day, we all have a choice to make. I know for me; it's so easy to get wrapped up in a toobusy, too full- of- stuff life. And with Jesus in my heart; sometimes I feel like with all the busy-ness and noise; He must feel like He gets crowded right out. Sometimes I can hear the Holy Spirit say, "Hey Leaon Mary,.... what about Me?" "Stop, and visit with Me. We should talk."

Thinking and planning on getting things done earlier this year, really hasn't changed any busy-ness like I thought it would. Not at all. So more than anything.... I will... to choose, that above all else.... today, I make room for Him. Not putting Him up, in Tony's old bed in the guest room, .... but the best room inside my temple: first place..... inside my heart. Him first,... not last. Praising Him, reading His word, praying, .... - and following hard after Him.

My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
Psalm 63:8

Opening door 8 on thee advent potting shed calendar, is .....a rooster. Thankyou brother Peter for reminding us to.... well; to not deny Jesus today.
Holykisses my Jesus, .... I love you. xoxo

Christmas Greetings Lea, We all struggle with busyness at Christmaas and I do believe it is OK. if we all do as you say in your post...give Jesus first place in your heart above all things.♥ Your advent is very clever. :)

"O come to my heart, Lord Jesus, there is room in my heart for Thee."

Making this the PRAYER & REALITY in my heart/life... (not always as "successfully" as I'd wish...)
