~Jesus Birthday Cake In Jar Recipe~

Greetings and holykisses,

Some of you have been trying to find the recipe on my blog for the lil cakes in jars to use for Jesus birthday cake. You can find those posts here and here. My friend Jeri introduced me to baking cakes in jars several years ago, and I found they work perfectly for celebrating our Savior's birth.

Last year, I baked little chocolate buttermilk cakes but this year; I've decided to go with the Pumpkin Spice recipe again. I wanted to make sure I posted these recipes earlier this year as several of you, said you'd have tried them if you'd have known soon enough. Sometimes it's hard to locate jars this time of year, but I bought mine at Walmart.
A blogger friend told me about these and I think they're so cute. Notice the little red, gingham caps? With them already red, a person wouldn't really have to cut out fabric circles to decorate them. I probably still will, but ... they sure wouldn't need them. The glass jars have a beautiful quilted pattern on them that I really like. --The last time I was in "our" store, they still had lots. So I hope you can find some. I bought a box of half pints, and regular pints and have made the little cakes in both sizes. But I think I prefer the half pints the best.

It's become tradition to make these little cakes for me now and having a special little birthday cake for Jesus really makes for a special devotional time. I'll be giving them to my bible study gals and for a few friends and neighbors as well.

If you have any problems with the recipes, just email me and I'll help if I can. I really don't think you'll have any trouble though. Just make sure you bake just one jar at first to see how high they rise, and then you'll be good to go.

God bless yall,
Holykisses xoxo
