Thankful Thursday October 7

It's Thankful Thursday!
Can you believe it's already the 7th? Still seems like the 1st, or 2nd to me? Goodness. Time does fly when you're having fun... no doubt about it!

I'm so happy to get to share a few random blessings.
Wooops, hang on- the microwave's beeping.... it's actually coffee time! Ahhhh; much better! (Thankyou Lord for coffee beans!) Funny how wonderfully satisfying a hot sweet liquid is!

Onward......! Here are a few random blessings this week:

I'm thankful for all the zinnias that have popped up in the garden! These are all gifts from above. I'd thought the garden was finished for the year. What did I know?!! I can hardly wait to fill my old fruit jars with bouquets to grace our tables. They should be blooming soon! Thanks Lord!

I'm thankful for wonderful friends who step out in faith and share what God puts on their hearts. I wrote two posts back about one in particular who even sent me a handmade blessing. It is so anointed and then there have been others this week with a scripture or song here and there shared in love. I especially love it when a friend lovingly shares a truth when you may not be seeing it. That takes courage, and real friends want God's best for you. I'm really thankful for them!

I'm thankful for time with our youngest son all day! He lives in Fayetteville and two days ago, I really started missin him extra bad- something awful. I even wrote in my FB status how I was missing him. The next morning, I was getting ready in the bathroom and glanced at my cell phone charging. I picked it up and texted him with: His mercies are new every morning.. have an awesome day Tony! Almost immediately he texted me back with OK!! I'm in ur living room where r u? !!!!!!! (I am SO serious.)!!!!!! He was given the day off work and was standing inside the house! (That's what MY God can do!) -- happysigh. He was such a sight for my sore eyes and I met him with his head inside the refrigerator to get my hug. I got to fix him a huge hot breakfast and where he put it all I just don't know!!! (He's tall n skinny!) He ate three big potatoes I grated into hashbrowns, 6 sausage links, 2 eggs, and two pieces of toast! He almost ate everybit of it. lol Anyways,.... we had such a wonderful day!

That said; I have to say, I'm also so ultra thankful that I get to see our oldest son Trent every day!!!! Not many Mom's get to say that, and I don't want to take that for granted. What a blessing that he lives so close, and works at the shop and he is; .... well.... Trent is one of my daily sources of sunshine. He's my Strongheart!!!!!!!!! Thank you Lord so much for choosing me to get to be these two mens' Momma.

I'm thankful for my loving husband and for extra special time we're looking forward to spending together this next week! I can hardly wait! We get to have a one day getaway together and a playday alone with my sweet heart and a few thousand other people is gonna be a blast!

Another blessing, this morning stepping on the scale ... I've now given God 22 pounds. He's really helping me on this journey and I'm starting to better understand that He has to increase as "i" decrease. He's my strength. Yesterday as I pulled pan after pan of chocolate chip cookies out of the oven; no raw cookie dough passed through these lips nor even one cookie. Now that's GOD! - sure aint my way!!!! I know one wouldn't hurt, but they won't help me get where I'm going. In just 3.5 more pounds I'll see victory and then pray for even more strength to maintain. Thank you Lord.

I could go on and on, but it's a beautiful day and I'm heading outdoors!
Thanks for journeying along with me today. I'd love to hear things you too are thankful for! God bless yall!!

John 10:10: The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

Thanks God for my abundant life.
My cup overflows.

Holykisses xoxo

I think tomorrow I'll be sharing the latest flea market finds. I know Char had asked me about the dishes that I use to serve dessert on for the ladies at our bible study, and thought I'd share a few other things too. Stay tuned!

I always look forward to your thankful posts, you are a gem! And I loved the tortilla story, but I don't think I'll try it on my glass top stove anytime soon, not a fan of burns! lol

Wow. So many awesome blessings!! Coffee is always a blessing =) but those pounds are just wowowowow! I have yet to get back on the wagon and frankly, I am ashamed at my lack of character. =( Keep it up...I want it so bad, but I am afraid to try again only to fade out...I've never gone to God about it though...what's up with that? It's like I'm afraid to ask Him, 'cause then I know I have to be serious. Ugh. Yuck. Thank you for encouraging though...I'll get there. I would love any words of advice or a kick in the seat I guessssss.
Can't wait to see what treasures you found!

Bless your heart! I know HE does! I especially appreciated the way you're giving God those extra pounds and that no raw cookie dough passed through your lips! I needed that example and encouragement!

It's so good to see you blogging again. I really miss you when you don't. You brighten my day.

What a pleasant surprize from your son.

BTW I deactivated Facebook. I couldn't take it and I just did not feel right about it in my spirit.
